Just Pleat It!
Happy Thursday everyone! I hope your week is coming to a happy end. I am so glad that it's almost over... it's been an insane one for me!!
Today's card features several challenges, 3 to be exact:
Ways to Use It on SCS - Pleats
Delightful Sketches
Kelly Jo's Color Chef - Burgandy, Cocoa, & White
Before I started this card, I knew that I wanted to try out the new Pretties Kit (#109114) that I just got from Stampin' Up!
This was my first attempt at dying one of the flowers. For the burgandy flower (it came out a little too light for me, but oh well) I used a Bravo Burgandy Stampin' Write Marker (#105109) to put color on it and then I used an Aqua Painter (#103954) to blend, I then heat set it with my Heat Gun (#100005). For the top flower, I just used the Close to Cocoa Stampin' Write Marker (#100072) to apply the color and got a much richer tone. I wish I had done this for the Burgandy one, but oh well!
Card Details:
Paper: Bravo Burgandy (#105123), Close to Cocoa (#101341), Whisper White (#100730), Candy Lane Designer Paper (retired)
Stamps: Flight of the Butterfly (#111564)
Ink: Close to Cocoa (#103139) & Bravo Burgandy (#105214)
Accessories: Butterfly Punch (#116629), Pretties Kit (#109114), Aqua Painter (#103954), Bravo Burgandy Stampin' Write Marker (#105109), Close to Cocoa Stampin' Write Marker (#100072), Cuttlebug Embossing Border (non-SU), Burgandy Satin Ribbon (non-SU), Circle Nestabilities (non-SU)

ReplyDeleteVery cute! I like the flower the way it is. I think it would take away from the ribbon if it was just as bold.
