Out of the Box!
Hi! Happy Thursday! Today's Ways to Use it Challenge over on Splitcoast Stampers was to go out of the box and make a card that was outside of our comfort zone.
I tend to make elaborate card with a lot of layers and embellishments, so I thought today I would make a Clean & Simple card! It was really hard for me not to add layers to the main card layer and to not bling up Dasher!
I am really happy with how this came out though. I got the inspiration for the sketch from this fun blog called clean&simple! You should check it out! She has some great sketches for those of you who love to create CAS, or if you're like me and have a hard time toning down your layers and embellishments!
As I have said before, I am restricting myself from buying any new Christmas paper as I have TONS of retired paper sitting in my paper container. This is some old dp called Wintergreen.... and I have like 2 packs of it! *sigh* It will eventually get used up! HAHA! This shouldn't keep you from looking at the great Christmas Designer Paper Stampin' Up has in their main catalog & in the Holiday mini... some really cute stuff there!
Card Details:
Paper: Whisper White (#100730), Chocolate Chip (#102847), Sage Shadow (#101563), Wintergreen dp (retired)
Stamps: Dasher (#116816), Teeny Tiny Wishes (#115370)
Ink: Chocolate Chip (#100908)
Accessories: Sage Shadow 1'4'' Grosgrain Ribbon (#111369), Designer Label Punch (#107590), 1'' Circle Punch (#109046), Word Window Punch (#105090), Cuttlebug Border Embossing Folder (non-su)
*As always you can buy any current Stampin' Up products in my online store!
Have a great day!
