It's Monday Again???

tart & tangy, stampin up, stamping up, stamps, birthday cardHi everyone! I can't believe it's another week... whew!! Where did September go? It flew by!

I am waiting for the holiday season though, it's one of my favorite times of the year... seriously, I will probably start listening to Christmas music in hiding around Halloween time... haha!

Anyway, my first card today is for the Featured Stamper challenge from yesterday over on Splitcoast Stampers. We had to pick a card from Terry's Gallery and CASE it. We had to change at least 2 things. I ended up changing almost everything, but I stayed with the basic idea of strawberries lined up on the main panel. I changed the colors, slightly changed the layout, and the stamp set. Here is Terry's original card!

Card Details:
Paper: Old Olive, Certainly Celery, Real Red, Whisper White, Bashful Blue, Summer Picnic Dp (SU!)
Stamps: Tart & Tangy, Tagger's Dozen (SU!)
Ink: None, I used markers
Accessories: SU markers (SU!), Real Red Striped Ribbon (SU!), Small & Large Tag Punches (SU!), Brad (American Crafts)

like it a latte, coffee card, stampin up, stamping up, cards, stamping My second card today is for Tamara's Sketch #64. This is a sneak preview as the sketch won't be released on her blog until Thursday!

I broke out my Like it a Latte set to do this awesome round card! I haven't used this set in a long time and it is just too cute to gather dust!

I used the Wintergreen dp because I thought the colors paired with chocolate chip would look awesome!

The marshmellows are colored in with a Sage Shadow marker!

Card Details:
Paper: Sage Shadow, Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Wintergreen DP (SU!)
Stamps: Like it a Latte (SU!)
Ink: Chocolate chip, Sage Shadow (SU!)
Accessories: Ribbon (Satin Sensations), Sage Shadow Marker (SU!)

That's all for today! I hope you get off to a wonderful start to the week!

Always Christmas

always, best yet, stampin up, stamping, cardsHi everyone! Happy Friday!

Here is my card for today's limited supplies challenge on Splitcoast Stampers!

We were to make a Christmas card using an animal stamp. At first I thought I would use Crab & Co, but then I saw the bird from Always and decided that it would make a really pretty Christmas card.

I pulled out my Basic Grey Figgy Pudding designer paper and incorporated the color challenge from a week or so ago and this is what came out! I love how it turned out!

The bird is stamped twice and cut out and mounted on dimensionals. The red panel is dry embossed with the Swiss Dots embossing folder which is a little hard to see in the picture.

Card Details:
Paper: Basic Grey, Always Artichoke, Riding Hood Red, Very Vanilla (SU!), Figgy Pudding dp (Basic Grey)
Stamps: Always & Best Yet (SU!)
Ink: Riding Hood Red (SU!)
Accessories: Small & Large Tag Punches (SU!), Ribbon (Sweet Petites), Oval Cutting System (Creative Memories), Always Artichoke Brad (SU!), Cuttlebug (ProvoCraft), Swiss Dots Folder (ProvoCraft), dimensionals (unknown vendor)

I hope everyone has a great weekend! It's supposed to be cloudy and rainy here most of the weekend, but hopefully I will get to stamp! I just got the in color ink pads, so I'm ready to go!

Have a great one!

Here is my card for her sketch. I have a bunch of these prima flowers that I haven't used, so I thought the sketch would be a perfect time to use them! It's a simple card, but I think it came out pretty fun.

Head on over to Tamara's Blog to play along!

Card Details:
Paper: Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White, Orchid Opulence, Only Orange, Pink Passion, Green Galore (SU!)
Ink: Basic Black (SU!)
Stamps: $1 stamp from Michael's

fancy flexible phrases, stampin up, card, fall card, stampingToday is also the Ways to Use it challenge over on Splitcoast Stampers. We were to make a card and use a charm on it. I really didn't have much of a selection to choose from because charms really aren't my thing, but I did find this leaf one, so I went with a fall theme.
I definately don't think this is my best card to date, I actually don't really like how it turned out, but oh well! Here it is!
Card Details:
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Blue Bayou, Very Vanilla (SU!), Fall Dp (unknown vendor)
Stamps: $1 leaf stamp (Canadian Maple), Fancy Flexible Phrases (SU!)
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Stazon Black (SU!)
Accessories: Leaf Charm (unknown vendor), Very Vanilla Ribbon (SU!), Scallop Circle Punch (SU!), 1 3/8'' circle punch (SU!), 1 1/2'' circle punch (Paper Shapers), 1'' circle punch (EK Success)

Do You Like My New Banner?

season of joy, best yet, stampin up, christmas, cards, stamping
Hi everyone! I finally got around to playing around with my scrapbooking software to make a banner.. it's not great, but it will do for now! What do you think?

Today's card is for the Sketch Challenge over on Splitcoast Stampers! I thought it looked like a great sketch to once again feature some dp... scraps that is! I'm trying to make room for new holiday dp, but I have A LOT left over from the past 2 years!

The treee is stamped twice, cut out and popped up on dimensionals. I used the thumping technique to add dimension to it. Let me know if you would like a tutorial and I will post one! It's a relatively simple technique with great results!

Card Details:
Paper: Sage Shadow, Always Artichoke, River Rock, Soft Sky, Whisper White, Wintergreen DP (SU!)
Ink: Sage Shadow & Always Artichoke (SU!)
Stamps: Season of Joy & Best Yet (SU!)
Accessories: Always Artichoke brads (SU!), Silver brad (American Crafts), Sage Shadow ribbon (SU!), 1 3/8'' Circle Punch (SU!), Scallop Circle Punch (SU!)

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!!!!

2 Cards in 1 Day!!

halloween, haunting halloween, fancy flexible phrases, sfytt, stamping, stampin up, cards Wow! I got 2 cards done today! DH is watching football, so I decided to stamp and I made this card for Jen's Sketch for You to Try . I had to alter it just slightly so that my sentiment wouldn't cover up my image!

I love this new Ghostly Greetings dp from SU... it's so fun!

Card Details:
Paper: Kiwi Kiss, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Basic Grey, Watercolor Paper, Ghostly Greetings DP (SU)
Stamps: Haunting Halloween & Fancy Flexible Phrases (SU!)
Ink: Stazon Jet Black
Accessories: Kiwi Kiss Ribbon (SU!), Scallop Circle Punch (SU!), 1 3/8'' circle punch, 1 1/2'' circle punch, 1'' circle punch

Happy Saturday!

upsy daisy, best yet, stampin up, stamping, cards Happy Saturday everyone! This is my card for today. It combine's the Inspiration Challenge over on Splitcoast Stampers and Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge.

I got the color combo from the dishes for the inspiration challenge, but for some reason they were uncomfortable for me. I went with them anyway and this is what I came up with!

I think it turned out okay... not my best, but I do like the idea of stamping silhouette images onto dp. I like the look it gives. It's almost more as a background than a main image. Somehow I managed not to use any white or vanilla on this! WOW!

Card Details:
Paper: Baja Blue, Kiwi Kiss, Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie DP (SU!)
Stamps: Upsy Daisy & Best Yet (SU!)
Ink: Chocolate Chip (SU!)
Accessories: Brad (Making Memories), Small & Large Tag Punches (SU!), Kiwi Kiss Ribbon (SU!), Brown Polka Dotted Sheer Ribbon (Dots, Dashes, & Checks)

Thanks for stopping by.... and don't forget to scroll down for my blog candy offer! Have a great Saturday!

Here are my details!

Accessories: Ribbon (Sensual Satins), Polka Dot Ribbon (American Crafts), SU Markers (SU!), Blender Pens (SU!), Brads (The Paper Studio), Corner Rounder (Marvy)

live your dream, best yet, stampin up, stamping, cards Today was also the Ways to Use It challenge on Splitcoast Stampers . We were to make a card using a silhouette image. I grabbed my trusty Live Your Dream flower and this is what I came up with!

I went with a fall theme because looking out the window it is starting to look like fall. I also love these Apple Cider papers. Last year I ordered this DP a little late and by the time I got it, I was making Christmas cards, so it didn't get much love!

Card Details:
Paper: Really Rust, Very Vanilla, River Rock, Chocolate Chip , Apple Cider DP (SU!)

Fidgy Christmas!

christmas card, stampin up, stamping, cards, season of joy, best yet I finally got a Splitcoast Stampers challenge done on the day it was posted! Yay for me! This is for today's sketch challenge. I really liked it, even though it took me FOREVER to finish this card!

I had the basic idea and I knew I wanted to use this Fidgy Pudding paper by Basic Grey, but I just kept thinking it was looking too plain. So, I decided to add a background to the tree, then I decided to layer the tree, so it's stamped twice and cut out and mounted on dimensionals.

Then I decided that of course it needed brads and ribbon... and voila...here is my card!

I had the most annoying call at the studio yesterday. This lady was questioning all of my studio's operations... AHH! Her daughter had come last week to try a class and she was asking me about competition and basically accused the studio of favoring the competition kids because they took more classes... ?!?!? This kid has had ONE dance class... ahhh! It was so annoying! HAHA, I'm sorry for the rant... I'm hoping I don't get any more of THOSE calls for a while.

Anyway, on to my card:

Card Details:
Paper: Real Red, Old Olive, Soft Sky, Very Vanilla (SU!), Fidgy Pudding DP (Basic Grey)
Ink: Real Red, Old Olive, Soft Sky (SU!)
Stamps: Season of Joy & Best Yet (SU!)
Accessories: Brads (American Crafts), Real Red Ribbon (SU!), Dimensionals (Scotch), 1 3/8'' Circle Punch (SU!), Scallop Circle Punch (SU!)

Alright, that's all the time I have today, unfortunately! Don't forget about my blog candy post below!!

Have a great one!

halloween, stampin up, card, stamping, dancerriley

Hi everyone, Happy Monday! Today's card is for SheetLoad of Cards' September Mini Issue. Make sure you go check it out, it's a fun layout!

I just got this new DP from Stampin Up and I was excited to break it open today! I always have a hard time finding cute Halloween paper in craft stores, so I was happy when SU came out with this great designer paper!

I used Haunting Halloween for my image and sentiment. I don't have the kiwi kiss ink pad yet, so I used my Old Olive marker to color in the frog and part of the pot and also the little spider.

Card Details:
Paper: Pumpkin Pie, Kiwi Kiss, Basic Grey, Watercolor Paper (SU)
Ink: Stazon Jet Black
Stamps: Haunting Halloween (SU!)
Accessories: Kiwi Kiss Striped Ribbon (SU!), Blender Pens (SU!), Old Olive Marker (SU!), Brads (Making Memories & American Crafts)

Alrighty, that's my card for today! As promised, I will return with some blog candy... sorry I didn't get to it yesterday!
