Always combining challenges!

Hello everyone! This is my first "live" post all week! Things have been crazy for the past 2 weeks and I really haven't had time to stamp much.. bummer!

I was determined that I was going to get something done this morning! I decided to knock out the color challenge & sketch challenge from earlier this week. Both challenges are from Splitcoast Stampers.

I pulled out my Always set, I haven't used it in a while and it wanted some ink!

I love these colors together... it's so springy and fresh!
Card Details:
Paper: Whisper White, Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze, Pretty in Pink, Tea Party Dp, Ski Slope Dp
Stamps: Always
Ink: Baja Breeze & Kiwi Kiss
Accessories: Silver Brads, Dimensionals, Pretty in Pink Taffeta Ribbon

*All supplies Stampin' Up unless otherwise noted!

Sketches by Tamara - Sketch 88

Today is Thursday and it's another great sketch by Tamara!

Today's card is a circle card... I made it by cutting and scoring a regular 5.5x4.25'' card, then I used my scallop circle nestabilities to make the card!

I broke out some new designer paper, Delicate Dots for this one... I love the Bashful Blue and Certainly Celery together.

The flowers are from Flower Fancy and are cut out and popped up on dimensionals. I put pearl stickers in the middles of them for an elegant touch! I really like how this came out!

Card Details:
Paper: Certainly Celery, Whisper White, Delicate Dots dp
Stamps: Flower Fancy, Sincere Salutations
Ink: Stazon Jet Black & Certainly Celery
Accessories: Circle & Scallop Circle Nestbilities (Spellbinders), Dimensionals, Jumbo Oval Punch, Large Oval Punch, Pearl Stickers (vendor unknown), White Satin Ribbon (vendor unknown)

Thanks for looking and have a great day!!!

3D Bella Blossom!

Hi everyone! Today's card is a double challenge card... both challenges are from Splitcoast Stampers!

The first challenge is yesterday's sketch... I flipped it to accommodate my image!

The second is today's Ways to Use it challenge which was to use a sticker on your design. My sticker is the epoxy sentiment sticker by Cloud 9!

I stamped the Bella Blossom 5 times on whisper white in Pink Pirouette and cut each layer out and mounted it on dimensionals. I used Riding Hood Red to sponge around the edges for added dimension.

The leaves are stamped twice in Kiwi Kiss and cut out and mounted on dimensionals. They are sponged with Old Olive.

I added pearls in the center of the flower for a delicate touch and I had to add ribbon and the buttons!

TFL!!!!!

Card Details:
Paper: Kiwi Kiss, Chocolate Chip, Riding Hood Red, Whisper White, Bella Rose Dp
Stamps: Bella Rose
Ink: Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss, Old Olive
Accessories: Buttons, Riding Hood Red & Pretty in Pink Taffeta Ribbon, Dimensionals, Epoxy Sticker by Cloud 9, Pearls by unknown vendor, Top Note Die

Sketches by Tamara - Sketch 87!

Paper:
Real Red, Summer Sun, Whisper White, Pink Flamingo Dp
Stamps: Thank You by Heidi Grace
Ink: Real Red

My First Making Handmade Cards Card!

Hi everyone! I hope you had a fabulous weekend! It was WONDERFUL weather here! It really perked me up since it's been so cold this winter!

I made this card for yesterday's Featured Stamper over on Splitcoast Stampers. Yesterdays stamper was another friend of mine, Judy!

I picked this card... it's actually her very first upload to Splitcoast Stampers!

I used this opportunity to use this new e-kit called Soccer 'n Tech by Making Handmade Cards!

There are NO stamps on this, just printables! I actually like how this turned out... masculine cards are ALWAYS hard for me! I thought this would be a great congratulations card for a boy who won a big game or something. I'm not sure exactly who I would give this too, but oh well!

Card Details:
Paper: Very Vanilla, Really Rust, Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel, Close to Cocoa, Ruby Red, More Mustard, Old Olive
Stamps: None, images are from Making Handmade Cards and you print them from your computer!
Ink: None
Accessories: Earth Element Brads, Swiss Dots Embossing Folder (ProvoCraft)

*All supplies are Stampin' Up unless otherwise noted

Some big news....

I woke up yesterday morning with an email from Jo from Making Handmade Cards. She had stumbled across my blog and was wondering if I would be interested in being a guest designer for them.... of course I said YES!

Making Handmade Cards offers downloadable e-kits that contain printable designer paper, sentiments, and images.

This will be my first time using printables, so we will see what I can do with them! I know some of you use them a lot and they seem to be coming more and more common.

I just got my first e-kit to use for creating and it has mostly masculine stuff in it, so we will see what I make with it and I will post my creations here for you to see!

Go check them out and sign up for their free newsletter for a free download of one of their e-kits!

I hope you had a great weekend!

Inky Impressions 1st Design Team Call!

Here is my submission for the Inky Impressions Design Team Call! We were to showcase our best line-art that has been colored in. I think both of these are some of the best I've done. Both were colored with markers, blender pens, and an aqua painter. Thanks so much for taking the time to consider my application!

Look What I Did!!!

So, it snowed a bunch last night and we finally had our first snow day... I talk like I'm still in school.. haha! But, when the schools are closed, so is the studio! It's great!

I had time to get 2 cards done so far today...

The first is for the technique challenge over on Splitcoast Stampers!

This is a crimped envelope pocket card! It was really easy to make! You can find the tutorial here!

The Bella Blossom is stamped and cut out and mounted on dimensionals. I stamped it in Baja Breeze and sponged with Night of Navy to give it some dimension. The leaves and stem are also stamped and cut out and mounted on dimensionals.

Card Details:
Paper: Whisper White, Night of Navy
Ink: Garden Green, Night of Navy, Baja Breeze
Stamps: Bella Blossoms
Accessories: Wild Wasabi Striped Ribbon, Sponge Daubers, Dimensionals, Paper Crimper, Large Oval Punch, 1 3/8'' circle punch

My next card is for the Featured Stamper challenge that was hosted yesterday on Splitcoast Stampers.

The featured stamper was a friend of mine, Kelly H! I was so excited to find out that she was the featured stamper! I had to CASE one of her cards! She has a great gallery, but this is one that I had favorited a couple of weeks ago and it just really stood out for me!

You can see the card I CASEd here!

  • Here's what I changed:
  • - The stamp set
  • - The size and position of the pearls
  • - I used Night of Navy instead of Brocade Blue
  • - I made my own designer paper w/ the Always in Bloom wheel!

I really love how this came out! Here are the basic details of this card:

Card Details:
Paper:
Night of Navy, Whisper White
Ink: Whisper White & Night of Navy
Stamps: Flower Fancy & Always in Bloom Wheel
Accessories: Adhesive Pearls (unknown vendor), Dimensionals, Sponge Daubers

*All supplies Stampin' Up unless otherwise noted!

I'm Baaaack!!!

Hi everyone! I am back from my stampin' weekend with my mom, aunt and cousin! We had a great weekend and I want to show you some of the cards I made! Since there are so many, I'm not going to break down the supplies, but pretty much everything is from Stampin' Up!

If you have any questions about a particular card, just ask it in my comments section and I will put up the response for you!
