Color Dare #40!

Good morning everyone and happy Wednesday! I hope you are having a great week! Mine has been kind of hectic, but hopefully is calming down!

One of my main teachers, and one of my best friends fell during a jazz class on Monday night and hurt her knee pretty bad. She spent 5 hours in the ER and has to go to the orthopedist on Friday morning. I am just praying that she won't have to have surgery. Luckily she has a great attitude and feels confident that she can still teach from a chair for as long as she has to, so that was good news!

Today is Wednesday and that means that it is a new color combination over on the Color Dare! This week's colors are awesome:

Pumpkin Pie (or Really Rust), Soft Suede, & Almost Amethyst

I think this combo makes a beautiful fall card! Hop on over and play, I hear they are giving away a prize this week!

So, as I was writing this, I realized that I used REALLY RUST instead of Pumpkin Pie... YIKES! I must be really out of it...

Card Details:
Paper:
Very Vanilla (#101650), Almost Amethyst (#102158), Really Rust (#100661), Throughly Modern Dp (#115673)

Stamps: Botanical Blooms (retired)

Ink: Almost Amethyst (#101723), Really Rust (#102549), Soft Suede (#115657)

Accessories: Gold Brads (#104337), Soft Suede Polka Dotted Ribbon (#115612), Scallop Border Punch (#112091), Circle Nestabilities (non-su)

I hope you can play along!

Thanks for stopping by!!!

Color Dare #39!

Hi everyone! Welcome to hump day! I hope you're having a great day! The sun is shining and it's supposed to be pretty warm here today... hopefully that will motivate me to get some choreography done. I have a lot to do as I'm teaching a workshop in a couple of weeks and they director wants notes detailing our classes... YIKES!

This card is for today's Sketch Challenge over on Splitcoast Stampers and for today's Color Dare challenge to use perfect plum, crushed curry, and tempting turquoise.

I used a non-Stampin' Up image today. I won several Sugar Nellie's in Splitcoast's World Card Making Day contest. I think this one is really adorable! It's called Christmas Fairy, but I made more of a little girl's birthday card with it!

It's stamped on Whisper White cardstock and then colored with Stampin' Up's Stampin' Write Markers.

Card Details:
Paper:
Whisper White (#100730), Perfect Plum (#101889), Rainbow Sherbert Designer Paper (retired), Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Paper (115675)

Stamps: Christmas Fairy (non-su), Teeny Tiny Wishes (#115370)

Ink: Stazon Jet Black (#101406), Perfect Plum (#101437)

Accessories: Crushed Curry Stampin' Write Marker (#116329), Perfect Plum Stampin' Write Marker (#100035), Tempting Turquoise Stampin' Write Marker (#100058), Barely Banana Stampin' Write Marker (#100039), Creamy Caramel Stampin' Write Marker (#100078), Blush Blossom Stampin' Write Maker (#100037), Styled Silver Hodgepodge Hardware (#111325), Playground Buttons (#116313), Crushed Curry Polka-Dot Grosgrain Ribbon (#115614), Adhesive Rhinestones (non-su)

Have a great day!! Thanks for stopping by!!!

Mercy's Tuesday Sketch!

Hi everyone! I hope you're week is off to a great start... mine's pretty good so far, although I didn't get to stamp yesterday.

I woke up to a great surprise on Sunday morning when I was selected at the FEATURED STAMPER over on Splitcoast Stampers!!! I was absolutely thrilled to be honored. Some of the past Featured Stampers are some of the most talented ladies I have ever met and I am just over whelmed that I was thrown into that group!

Today's card is for Mercy's Tuesday Sketch and for the Color Challenge over on Splitcoast Stampers.

I pulled out my new favorite stamp set, Delightful Decorations which you can find in the Holiday Mini Catalog! I just got the Four the Holidays set too which I also featured on this card.

The brads can be found in the Styled Silver Hodgepodge Hardware set and the Felt Flurries can be found in the Clearance section in my online store!

The Top Note layer is mounted on dimensionals, as are the ornaments! The Top Note layer is also dry embossed with a snowflake embossing folder which is isn't made by Stampin' Up.

Autumn Squirrel

Happy Thursday everyone... it's almost the weekend... yay! Although, I do have to work all day on Saturday... ugh. Oh well!

Today's card is for the Ways to Use It challenge on Splitcoast Stampers to use leaves in your design. I pulled out some of my retired Autumn Vine designer paper which has a great leaves print, as you can see! I love this paper!

My image is by Sugar Nellie and is a stamp I won in the World Card Making events on Splitcoast Stampers. It's an image that I probably wouldn't buy on my own, but now that I have it... I love it! It was a lot of fun coloring him, even though I'm out of watercolor paper and had to settle for just plain whisper white. It actually did better than I thought it might. I just like the blending effect that watercolor paper gives. I guess I better place an order for some!

I colored my image with Stampin' Write Markers, I blended the darker brown (chocolate chip) with an aqua painter to make it a little more subtle. Everything else is pretty self explanatory!

Oh yeah, my layout is Mercy's Tuesday Sketch!

Card Details:
Paper:
Whisper White (#100730), Chocolate Chip (#102128), Really Rust (#100661), More Mustard (#100946), Autumn Vine Designer Paper (retired)

Stamps: Nuts (Sugar Nellie), Teeny Tiny Wishes (#115370)

Ink: Stazon Jet Black (#101406), Chocolate Chip (#100908)

Accessories: Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write Marker (#100071), Really Rust Stampin' Write Marker (#100073), More Mustard Stampin' Write Marker (#100076), Close to Cocoa Stampin' Write Marker (#100072), Creamy Caramel Stampin' Write Marker (#100078), Vintage Brads (#109109), Chocolate Chip Double-Stitched 1'' Grosgrain Ribbon (#111849), Word Window Punch (#105090), Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430), Sponge Daubers (#102892)

Thanks for stopping by... I hope you have a great day!

Holiday Greetings!

Hi everyone! Happy Monday... sorry for my lack of posts last week. I wasn't feeling so well, so I spent most of my mornings just resting before I had to go teach dance.

I am feeling better this week, thank goodness!

It's really starting to feel chilly here, and that puts me in the mood for some holiday cards!

This card is for the 2 Sketches 4 You sketch for this week!

I used my new Delightful Decorations set as the focal point for this card. The designer paper is some that I won in a contest last year. I still have a lot of it left, so I'm trying to use it up! As you know, I am not allowing myself to buy more Christmas paper... haha!

I used the new Ornament punch, available in the Holiday Mini catalog, to punch out the ornaments. They are mounted on some foam layering tape which is non-su. I had to order more dimensionals and they haven't come in yet!

Card Details:
Paper:
Baja Breeze (retired), Cranberry Crisp (retired), Old Olive (#100702), Very Vanilla (#101650), Figgy Pudding Designer Paper (non-su)

Ink: Cranberry Crisp (retired), Baja Breeze (retired), Old Olive (#102277)

Stamps: Delightful Decorations (#1165117), Sincere Salutations (#115068)

Accessories: Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon (retired), Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon (#109071), Foam Layering Tape (non-su), Circle Nestabilities (non-su), Ornament Punch (#116794)

I hope you have a wonderful day!

Always in Fall

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday... we are half way through the week and I hope yours is going well!

We have been fighting off some nasty sickness at the studio. I have a lot of kids who have been sick... including several cases of H1N1 which is scary because it spreads so quickly! We are supposed to have a performance on Saturday and as of right now I don't even know if I'm going to have enough well kids to do it... YIKES!

Anyway, today is Wednesday and that means another great color combo over on the Color Dare! This week's colors are: Always Artichoke, Elegant Eggplant, Creamy Caramel, and Pumpkin Pie!

It's a great fall color combo!

I paired it with the sketch challenge from Splitcoast Stampers which was a fun one!

I pulled out my ole trusty Always set for this card. I really love this set as it's so versatile! Everything on this card is Stampin' Up except for the adhesive pearls, which I will say again... I wish Stampin' Up would add!

Card Details:
Paper:
Whisper White (#100730), Creamy Caramel (#102514), Pumpkin Pie (#105117), Elegant Eggplant (#105126), Always Artichoke Designer Prints Dp (retired)

Stamps: Always (#113620)

Ink: Always Artichoke (#105219), Pumpkin Pie (#105216), Elegant Eggplant (#105210)

Accessories: More Mustard Brads (#106955), Always Artichoke 1/4'' Grosgrain Ribbon (#109035), 1 1/4'' Circle Punch (#104403), 1 3/8'' Circle Punch (#104401), Scallop Circle Punch (#109043), Swirls Embossing Folder (non-su), Scallop Edge Embossing Folder (non-su), Adhesive Pearls (non-su)

Mojo Decorations!

Hi everyone! Sorry I didn't get to make a card yesterday, it was Monday and the first full week of October and I needed to do some stuff for the studio!

I'm trying to get caught up today!

This card is for the Mojo Monday sketch.

I paired my new Delightful Decorations set with the retired Ski Slope paper!

The ornament is stamped, punched out with the new ornament punch and then mounted on dimensionals so it would pop up from the designer paper which is a little busy. I felt like the ornament would get lost in it if it wasn't popped up!

I tied the bow and then used a glue dot to attach it to the ornament.

Card Details:
Paper:
Whisper White (#100730), Chocolate Chip (#102128), Real Red (#102482), Ski Slope Dp (retired)

Stamps: Delightful Decorations (#116517), Teeny Tiny Wishes (#115370)

Ink: Chocolate Chip (#100908), Real Red (#103133), Baja Breeze (retired)

Accessories: Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon (retired), Baja Breeze Striped Ribbon (retired), Decorations Punch (#116794), Word Window Punch (#105090), Adhesive Rhinestones (non-su), Circle Nestabilities (non-su), Foam Layering Tape (non-su)

*Remember, all current Stampin' Up products can be bought in my online store!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!!!

World Card Making Day... a day late!

Hi everyone! I hope you've been having a fantastic weekend! I had to work pretty much all day yesterday, so I wasn't able to participate in the World Card Making Day challenges on Splitcoast Stampers. I did have time to catch up on some this afternoon though!

My first card is for a challenge to use pink, black, and bling, and a sketch challenge!

I just got the new Delightful Decorations set and Decorations punch from the Holiday Mini Catalog! I just love this set! It's so easy to use and makes a cute card!

I obviously went for some un-traditional Christmas colors on this one, but I like the result!

Card Details:
Paper:
Whisper White (#100730), Basic Black (#102851), Melon Mambo (#115320), Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Paper (#115675)

Stamps: Delightful Decorations (#116517)

Ink: Melon Mambo (#115656)

Accessories: Black Grosgrain Ribbon (non-su), Swiss Dots Embossing Folder (non-su), 3/4'' circle punch (#107217), 1'' circle punch (#109046), 1 1/2'' circle punch (non-su), 1 3/8'' circle punch (#104401), Ornament Punch (#116794), Hemp Twine (#100982)

My next card is for a challenge to use this sketch plus use a shade of brown. It's also for a challenge to make a card showing what your girlfriends and yourself like to do. My friends and I love coffee, so I thought this was appropriate! It's also for a challenge to make your card POP! The foam and heart are both popped on dimensionals.

Like It a Latte is one of my all-time favorite sets! It's just sooo cute! Too bad it's retired :(

Card Details:
Paper:
Very Vanilla (#101650), Chocolate Chip (#102128), Pretty in Pink (#100459), Au Chocolate Dp (retired)

Ink: Chocolate Chip (#100908), Pretty in Pink (#101301)

Stamps: Like it a Latte (retired)

Accessories: Button Latte (#114333), Linen Thread (#104199), Pretty in Pink Taffeta Ribbon (#109067), 1 3/8'' Circle Punch (#104401), Scallop Circle Punch (#109043), Stampin Dimensionals (#104430)

My final card is for a sketch challenge and a color challenge to use Pumpkin, Vanilla, and Chocolate. I used Really Rust instead of Pumpkin Pie because I wanted to use this old Apple Cider Dp.

I went a little crazy with the embellishments, but I love it!

I would have never put this together with out the push from both of the challenges and to be honest, I struggled with it at first!

Card Details:
Paper:
Very Vanilla (#106530), Chocolate Chip (#102128), Really Rust (#100661), Apple Cider dp (retired)

Stamps: Great Friend (#113172)

Ink: Really Rust (#102549), Close to Cocoa (#103139)

Accessories: Hodgepodge Hardware in Styled Silver (#111325), Silver Brads (#104336), Brown Satin Ribbon (non-su), Butterfly Punch (non-su), Adhesive Rhinestones (non-su), Small Oval Punch (#107304), Oval Cutting System (non-su), Sponge Daubers (#102892)

Fall Bella Blossoms!

Happy Thursday! I'm feeling a little blah today... woke up with a headache. It's starting to go away but I'm just really tired and just not feeling quite up to par.

I did manage to stamp though! Never too sick for that, right? HAHA!

This card is for 3 challenges today:
1. The Ways to Use it challenge on Splitcoast Stampers to bling up your sentiment.

2. The Stamps & Smiles sketch.

3. The Color Chef to use Teal, Orange, and Brown. I used Chocolate Chip, Taken w/ Teal, and Pumpkin Pie.

I like how this turned out... I wasn't sure about it until I got it all put together. The color combo kind of threw me off, but I like how it ended up going together!

I pulled out my Bella Blossoms set which is one of my favorites. I say this every time I use is, but I with Stampin' Up would have given it more of a chance to succeed. It was only in the main catalog for 4 months or so, then put on the dormant list, then retired. It's really a fun set to work with and is great when you want a big image.

The flower is stamped 4 times, cut out and mounted on dimensionals. The brown accent flowers and the sentiment are also mounted on dimensionals, although you can't really tell that from the picture.

Card Details:
Paper:
Whisper White (#100730), Chocolate Chip (#102128), Taken With Teal (#101584), Balie Breeze Designer Paper (retired)

Stamps: Bella Blossoms (retired)

Ink: Pumpkin Pie (#105216), Taken w/ Teal (#103257), Chocolate Chip (#100908)

Accessories: Chocolate Chip 1'' Double-Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon (#111849), Word Window Punch (#105090), Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430), Adhesive Rhinestones (non-su)

*Remember, all current Stampin' Up products can be bought in my online store!

Thanks for stopping by.. have a great day!
