Lifting You Up!

So my entire schedule is waaay off since the holidays. It's currently 1:45am and I am still WIDE awake... maybe that's because I slept until noon today... AHH!

I thought I would put my sleeplessness to good use and make a card!

The Clean & Simple challenge on Splitcoast Stampers this week is to make a card inspired by Disney. I don't have any Disney stamps, but when I think of Disney, I immediately think of RIDES! So, I pulled out my new Everyday Button Bits set and used the adorable hot air balloons!

This is also for the Sweetest Thing Sketch challenge found here and for the ColourQ challenge from last week found here!

Thanks for looking!

Hi everyone!! How was your Christmas? Mine was great... it was a whirlwind, but it was really nice to see all of my family.

My mom got me the Everyday Button Bits from Papertrey ink for Christmas... along with a Scor-Pal and some buttons to use with my set! Yes, I know... I am a Stampin' Up demonstrator, but I just couldn't resist this set! I just think it's adorable!

Framed Art

I had a hard time photographing this because of the glass... it kept reflecting everything.. haha!

Anyway, I made this for my Granny's Christmas present. She is a hard person to buy for, so I thought she might enjoy hanging this in her apartment.

I bought the frame from Wal-Mart for like $5 and then I used Season of Friendship to symbolize the four seasons. I cut up the sentiment and put a part of it under each tree. The full saying is.. "the season of friendship lasts forever."

I hope she likes it!

Altered Mini Compsition Book & Matching Pen

I have been working on these cute little composition books all weekend. I am giving them as gifts for my student teachers at the studio.

I found the notebooks at the Dollar Tree 3 for $1! It was a great deal! I covered them with some awesome Stampin' Up designer paper! I also had some RSVP pens in my stash, so I figured I would make those to match!

I pulled out the retired Big Flowers set because it is a solid stamp and can be punched out easily with the 1 3/8'' circle punch and then layered with the scallop circle punch!

What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by!

Color Dare #47!

Hi everyone!

It's Wednesday and that means there is a new color challenge posted over on the Color Dare blog!

This week's colors are perfect for any Christmas projects you may be working on! I am trying to get gift baskets together for my teachers and parents who help me out at the studio, but it seems like it's slow going.

This past weekend I judged the Miss Smith Mountain Lake pageant which is a preliminary to Miss Virginia & Miss America. It pretty much took up my ENTIRE weekend. On Sunday I spent the entire day on the couch because I was soooo tired! Needless to say, I didn't get any stamping done over the weekend. Yesterday and Monday were spent trying to get everything together for the last week of class at the studio before Winter Break. I wanted to have all paperwork done before the end of the week so I didn't have to worry about it.

So, it looks like the last part of the week will be filled with getting Christmas gifts together! I just hope that I can get it all finished before our Christmas party on Saturday evening!

Green Galore, Chocolate Chip, Real Red

For this project, I covered a magnetic shopping list that you can get from Michael's for $1! I love altering these and giving them as gifts. This one has a Christmas theme, so I thought this color combination would be great for it!

I used Mercy's Tuesday Sketch from yesterday for the layout!

Project Details
Paper:
Whisper White (#100730), Chocolate Chip (#102128), Green Galore (#101768), Rainbow Sherbet Designer Paper (retired), Ski Slop Designer Paper (retired)

Stamps: Season of Joy (#110384)

Ink: Real Red (#103133), Green Galore (#102122)

Accessories: Chocolate Chip Felt Ribbon (retired), Oval Nestabilities (non-su), Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430)

Delightful Gift Bag!

Hey everyone! I made this gift bag for several challenges:

Sketch Challenge on Splitcoast Stampers
Wednesdays Challenge to make something Christmas
Creative Belli's challenge to use flourishes
The Play Date Cafe to use red, green, & white

For some reason every picture I took of this came out blurry... not sure what is up with that! I hope you can see it well enough!

I got the plain white bag from the Dollar Tree... they have packs of 2 for $1... it's a great deal!

I am hoping to make more of these to put gifts in for the season!

I used Delightful Decorations, Framed With Love, and the retired set, Fancy Flexible Phrases for this project.

These are really easy & fun to make!

Thanks for stopping by... I hope you have a GREAT Wednesday!!!

I used Mercy's Tuesday Sketch from yesterday... I always love her great layouts!

I hope you can join us at the Color Dare this week!

A Couple of Cards!

Hi everyone! I have been under the weather for the past day or so, but I think I am feeling better today.. yay!

I made both of these cards a few days ago... well, actually the Christmas one was done last week and the birthday one was done yesterday. I just didn't feel like uploading them after I made them.

The Christmas one is just a fun one I made for the Our Creative Corner sketch from last week. I changed it just a bit to accommodate what I wanted to do. I really wanted to feature this great new Christmas designer paper from Stampin' Up called Merry Moments.

Card #1 Details:
Paper:
Old Olive (#100702), Chocolate Chip (#102128), Garden Green (#102584), Very Vanilla (#101650), Merry Moments dp (#115672)

Stamps: Christmas Punch (#115366 - hostess)

Ink: Garden Green (#102272)

Accessories: Felt Ribbon (retired), Adhesive Rhinestones (non-su), Wide Oval Punch (#112082), Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430)

My second card is for the Colour Q challenge from last week and for this week's Mojo Monday sketch challenge.

This was a very challenging color combination for me: Bermuda Bay, Pink Passion, Pretty in Pink, Gable Green, & Kraft.

I am not completely happy with how this came out, but I did get to use some new stamps that I bought!

This is the On a Pedestal set from Stampin' Up! I've been wanting it since the catalog came out over the summer.

Card #2 Details:
Paper:
Kraft (#102125), Whisper White (#100730), Pretty in Pink (#100459), Gable Green (#102795), Pink Passion (#102762), Tea Party Dp (#113992), Rainbow Sherbet Dp (Retired)

Stamps: On a Pedestal (#113814), Teeny Tiny Wishes (#115370)

Ink: Pink Passion (#101212), Bermuda Bay (#115655), Gable Green (#101673), Pretty in Pink (#101301), Summer Sun (#100537)

Color Dare #45

Hi everyone! It's Wednesday and that means there's another great color combination over on the Color Dare blog!

You will be seeing a lot of 3-d and altered projects from me in the next month. I am trying to make stuff to give as gifts and if I don't stay on top of it and try to get one project done a day, I will never finish!

I am trying to knock out challenges while making stuff, so that helps make it a little more interesting!

I used the layout from Mercy's Tuesday Sketch from yesterday!

This week's colors for the Color Dare are:

Kraft, Dusty Durango, Very Vanilla

I added some Soft Suede to anchor the colors a little more!

I hope you will join us on the Color Dare this week!!!

Thanks for stopping by and as always you can buy all current Stampin' Up products in my online store by clicking HERE!
