No, don't get too sad.. I'm only saying goodbye for a week or so! My husband and I are leaving for a much needed vacation tomorrow... I'll be back Sunday, September 6th.

We are going to Charleston, SC to visit his sister and then we are going to Myrtle Beach for a few days... I'm very excited! But that means this will be my last update until we get back! That's the sad part!

Today's card is actually for next week Sketches challenge over on their blog. Make sure you go by there next Thursday to play! I wanted to make sure my sample was included, so I'm posting early... think of it as a sneak peek! It's a really great sketch, I loved working with it and I wish I had time to do more! But, I have to go clean my house... UGH!! Oh yeah, and pack!

Krafty Black Rose Birthday!

card, stampin up, dance sketches, warmest regards, stamping

Today's card features the color challenge over on Splitcoast. We were to use: Kraft, Basic Black, & Rose Red. I really love these colors together!

I made this card for one of my dancers who is having her birthday party today.. yes, I was invited to a 9 year old's birthday party... haha! I am still not sure if I can make it, but I wanted to make her a card regardless.

I pulled out two oldies but goodies... Dance Sketches & Warmest Regards to make this card and I am really happy with how it turned out!

The main image is stamped on watercolor paper and colored with SU markers. The scalloped edge was made using my corner rounder!

The layout was inspired by this layout on sketches! I changed it slightly to fit my image!

Card Details:
Paper: Basic Black, Rose Red, Kraft, Watercolor Paper, Cutie Pie DP (SU!)
Ink: Stazon Jet Black, Rose Red (SU)
Stamps: Dance Sketches & Warmest Regards (SU)
Accessories: Polka Dotted Sheer Ribbon (Michael's), Corner Rounder (EK Success)

Thanks for looking and have a fabulous day!!

Always Pink!

always, stampin up, verve visual, mojo monday, cards Today's card is for Verve Visual's project parade #5 and for Julee's Mojo Monday sketch challenge.

I used an oval instead of a circle for my main image because I don't have any circles that are big enough... so then instead of a small oval, I used a circle for the sentiment!

The lace is adhesive and I put it on strips of creamy caramel to make the card more elegant.

I also loved how the ovals looked on a slight angle, rather than straight.

Card Details:
Paper: Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, Creamy Caramel, Chocolate Chip (all SU), Designer Paper (unknown vendor)
Ink: Regal Rose, Chocolate Chip, Pretty in Pink (all SU)
Stamps: Always (SU)
Accessories: Brads (American Crafts), Adhesive Lace (K & Co.), Scallop Circle Punch (SU), 1 3/8'' Punch (SU), 1 1/2'' Circle Punch (Paper Shapers), Swiss Dots Embossing Folder (ProvoCraft), Oval Cutting System (Creative Memories)

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful Monday! I can't believe this is the last Monday of August... where did summer go???

Double Challenge

Hello everyone, I hope you had a nice Wednesday. I didn't get to stamp yesterday because I had to take my husband to work which is right up from my dance studio, so I just went and worked all day myself.

Today's card is a double challenge card. The first challenge was to use torn edges, which I did with my edge distresser. The second challenge is the Meet the Verve Divas challenge #7 which was a sketch.

I had to alter the sketch just a bit to fit the image that I wanted to use.

I made this card for a lady at the studio who needed a card for her niece's wedding shower. I hope she likes it! I feel like it's missing something, but I don't know what it would be!

TFL!

Ruby Cocoa Blush...

Hi everyone! Today's challenge over on Splitcoast Stampers was to make a card using the colors Ruby Red, Close to Cocoa, and Blush Blossom. I have to admit that I was a little afraid at first, I just wouldn't normally go for these colors, but it ended up turning out great!

I don't have the ruby red marker, so I inked up the blooms of the flowers on my ink pad, and then used my fingers to remove it from the stems. I used my old olive marker to color the stems... then huffed and stamped. Yes, I have ruby red ink all over my fingers right now.. haha!

The sketch is from Verve Visual's anniversary sketches. This is sketch #1. I really like all the elements of it. I changed it up a little bit, but basically kept it the same!

More details:
Paper: Close to Cocoa, Whisper White, Blush Blossom, True Thyme, Ruby Red (all SU), Ruby DP(Basic Grey)
Stamps: Live Your Dream (SU)
Ink: Ruby Red, Old Olive (SU)
Accessories: Ribbon, eyelets (unknown vendors), Rhinestone brad (SU), Corner Rounder (EK Success), Flowers (Prima)

That's all for today! Have a great one!
