Covered Jr. Legal Pads

So, I found this great tutorial during my stint on my couch surfing blogs while I was sick.  It's for a covered Jr. Legal Pad.  You can find it HERE!  Like I said earlier, we have a craft show coming up.  I had a pack of 5 RSVP pens and I had 6 notepads, so I ended up making 5.  I need to get another pack of pens if I want to make up the last pad I have.

My challenge to myself was to use some old supplies.  I succeeded, but I have soooo many old embellishments and designer paper that it becomes overwhelming.  Here are my other designs:

Sky's the Limit

As I stated in my last post, I have been really sick this entire weekend.  I managed to make this card Friday night.  It is very simple, but I think it turned out pretty good.

You can see it in the photo, but I actually scored some lines on the main cardstock with my Simply Scored.  It added a little dimension to the card.

I pulled out my trust Up, Up & Away set for this card.  I made this for the ColourQ, although I am posting too late to be considered for the Colour Queen.  The layout is for this week's Fall-to-Sketch.

Supplies List:
Paper: Whisper White, Dusty Durango
Stamps: Up, Up, & Away
Ink: Lucky Limeade, Always Artichoke, Baja Breeze, Basic Gray
Accessories: Stampin' Dimensionals, Simply Scored

Bunny Top Note Box

Hi.. it has been a while since I've posted.  I have been sick for pretty much the entire past week, peaking in sickness Friday and Saturday.  Last night, I was tired of laying on the couch, so I was determined to try to craft a bit.  My mom, aunt, and I have a craft show coming up in a few weeks and I have made NOTHING for it.  It's just been a busy few months.

Anyway, while I was dying on the couch, I got a lot of blog hopping and time on Pinterest in.  I came across this super cute tutorial for this box.  You can find the PDF by clicking HERE!  I must say that this was very easy.  I was jacked up on cold/sinus meds while I made it, so I can assure you ANYONE can do this.  HAHA!

I did have to tweak the bunny a little bit because I do not have the 1/4'' circle punch.  I used black brads instead and I actually think I like it better.

I love using up my retired stock on craft show items.  This project is no exception.  I made the box out of the retired Bordering Blue.  I had an ENTIRE pack of cardstock that had never been opened!  I used the retired designer paper, Bella Birds for the Top Note and the pink accents on the bunny.  The ribbon is So Saffron that came in a Sale-a-Bration bundle many years ago.  I am proud of myself to using up some old stuff... not that I really made a dent in it!

I made nine of these and plan to put jelly beans in the box.  Here is another view:

That's all for right now!  I hope you have had a great weekend!

Two Cards from the Weekend

I stamped last weekend, but haven't had time to post my cards!  It's been a wild week... My first card (above) is for last Sunday's Featured Stamper challenge over on Splitcoast Stampers.  I CASEd this card: Happy Harmony.  I changed the stamp set, used designer paper and changed the ribbon.  I kept her basic layout and color scheme.  I really like how it turned out!

Supplies Used:
Paper: Real Red, Whisper White, Tempting Turquoise, Tempting Turquoise DP (retired)
Stamps: Occasional Quotes (Hostess) & Best of Everything
Ink: Real Red, Tempting Turquoise
Accessories: Real Red Polka Dotted Ribbon, Scallop Border Punch

My next card is for last week's sketch on Splitcoast Stampers and for the My Time Pretty Palette challenge to use Pink, Rose, Grey, and Aqua.  I matched these colors to be Regal Rose, Rose Red, Basic Grey, and Pool Party.  I looove how these colors go together!

I used the new set, Tea Shoppe (one of my favorites in the Occasions Mini).  The cups are individually stamped, then cut out and mounted on Stampin' Dimensionals.  I used the Decorative Label Punch, the 1'' Circle Punch and the Large Oval Punch to layer the label layer.  The designer paper is retired called Sweet Always.

Supplies List
Paper: Pool Party, Basic Grey, Whisper White, Rose Red, Sweet Always Dp (retired)
Stamps: Tea Shoppe
Ink: Regal Rose, Rose Red, Pool Party, Basic Grey
Accessories: Decorative Label Punch, 1'' Circle Punch, Large Oval Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals, Corner Rounder, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon

I hope to get more stamping time in this weekend!  Have a great one!

Butterfly Delight

Happy Tuesday, everyone!  I hope your week is off to a great start.  Today's color challenge over on Splitcoast Stampers is to use Daffodil Delight, Poppy Parade, and Soft Suede.  I was a little skeptical at first because I don't tend to use yellow that often.  I also haven't used Poppy Parade that much, so I guess this was a great challenge for me!  I do like how this turned out, though!

The sketch is this week's Mojo Monday Sketch!

I pulled out my trusty Bold Blossom set and believe it or not, I have never inked up the sentiment until now!  What is wrong with me?  This set is retired, though.  It was in last year's Occasions Mini I think.  It's such a fun set, not sure why they didn't carry it over!

The designer paper I used is Pocketful of Posies which is current and the Prints Pack Neutrals which is also current.

Everything is Stampin' Up except for the die cut I used for the scalloped ovals.  I am still holding out that Stampin' Up is going to release more of their Framelits in basic shapes!

Supplies List:
Paper: Whisper White CS, Soft Suede CS, Daffodil Delight CS, Pocketful of Posies DP, Prints Pack Neutrals DP
Stamps: Bold Blossoms (retired)
Ink: Poppy Parade & Soft Suede
Accessories: Poppy Parade Glimmer Brad, Stampin' Dimensionals, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Early Espresso Bakers Twine

The paper is retired and is called Sending Love.  This card is pretty simple, but here is my supplies list...

Supplies List:

Apothecary Art

Good Monday morning!  I hope you had a great weekend!  I surely did, it was the first weekend in over a month that I didn't have to work and I actually got some stamping done!  I made this yesterday, but I had to wait until today to get a good picture of it.

To be honest, I really did not like this when I first made it, but after sleeping on it, I woke up this morning and decided it's not so bad after all.  HAHA!

This uses the new Apothecary Art stamp set and the new Framelit Label Dies!  I am so excited that Stampin' Up has these new dies!  I hope they come out with more shapes because they are awesome!

I stamped both images on watercolor paper, then colored them in with Stampin' Write Markers and an Aqua Painter.  The designer paper is the new Twitterpated, also from the Occasions Mini!  The brads are the glimmer brads in the in colors.

This is for the Sketch Saturday challenge!

Supplies List
Paper: Baja Breeze CS, Riding Hood Red CS, Watercolor Paper, Twitterpated Dp

Stamps: Apothecary Art

Ink: Basic Black

Accessories: Glimmer Brads in Blushing Bride, Stampin' Write Markers, Aqua Painter, Stampin' Dimensionals

Tea Shoppe Love

How much do I love this new set in the Occasions Mini?  Umm... A LOT!  It's called Tea Shoppe and it's one of my favorite sets in the new Occasions Mini Catalog!  I love anything tea or coffee related, so I had to get this set!  I paired it up with the Everyday Enchantment designer paper that you can earn for FREE when you place a $50+ order!  You can place your order through my online store by clicking here!

This is for the February Sketch for you to Try.  I always love these sketches and this one is no exception!

The main tea cup is stamped in Calypso Coral Ink on Whisper White Card Stock.  I cut it out and then pleated some Soft Suede polka dotted ribbon (I used the non-polka dotted side) to put at the top of the cup.  I think it added a little flair!

Supplies List:
Paper:
Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Whisper White, Everyday Enchantment Dp
Stamps: Tea Shoppe
Ink: Calypso Coral, Pool Party, Lucky Limeade, Poppy Parade
Accessories: Stampin' Dimensionals, Modern Label Punch, 1 3/8'' Circle Punch, Soft Suede Polka Dotted Ribbon (retired)

Birthday Balloons

Whew!  It has been a wild few weeks!  I was out of town 2 out of the 4 weekends in January with dance rehearsals every weekend on the 2 weekends I was home.  Needless to say, my stamping had to take a back seat for a couple of weeks, but my house is back in order and I got some time to stamp today, so all is well!

Getting back after time off is always hard... this card was no exception.  I seriously sat and changed it probably 1,000 times before I settled for this.  Still not my favorite, but it was a good one to get me back in the game!  The funny part is I just got a bunch of new stuff and look what I ended up using... stuff I've had forever!

Anyway, this is for today's Inspiration Challenge on Splitcoast Stampers and for the sketch challenge from Wednesday, also from Splitcoast Stampers.  For the inspiration, we were to find something on the Charleston Gardens website.  I found these pillows and used them for my color scheme which ended up being Daffodil Delight, Marina Mist & Pear Pizzazz.  I used white as my neutral as the pillows have white binding.

Supplies List:
Paper: Whisper White CS, Marina Mist CS, Daffodil Delight CS, Nursery Nest Dp
Stamps:
Up, Up, & Away
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Pear Pizzazz, Marina Mist, Bashful Blue, Daffodil Delight
Accessories: Stampin' Dimensionals, Polka Dotted Scallop Ribbon in Marina Mist, Scallop Border Punch
