Happy New Year's Eve!

stampin up, valentine, cards, demonstrator, stampin up love you much bundleHi everyone!  Happy New Year's Eve!  What are your plans for tonight?

We don't have any... New Year's Eve is slightly overrated if you ask me!  It's so expensive to go out and it's really for nothing!  We might go over to my parent's house and grill out steaks or something, but that's about as exciting as it will get!  HAHA!

Last year we ended up at Denny's eating dinner... then we came back home and watched the ball drop.

Tomorrow we are going to a friend's house for a New Year's Day party, so that will be a lot of fun!

Well, here's my card for today's sketch challenge over on Splitcoast Stampers.  I changed it slightly so I could use my oval Nestabilities that I got for Christmas!

The heart is stamped on whisper white and then cut out and popped up on dimensionals (you can't really tell from the picture).

Here are the rest of the details:
Paper: Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Regal Rose, Taken w/ Teal, Valentine DP (all SU!)
Ink: Regal Rose (SU!)
Stamps: Heart (Inkadinkado)
Accessories: Oval nestabilities (spellbinders), white chocolate chip ribbon(SU!), Adhesive pearls (unknown vendor), Dimensionals (SU!)

Thanks for looking and I hope you have a wonderful day!!!

What did you get for Christmas??

ballet, dance, thank you cards, stampin up, demonstrator, valentine bundleHi everyone!  I am sorry that I haven't updated in quite a while... 'tis the season!

Now that things are starting to get back to normal, I should be back on my stampin' schedule!

Today's Featured Stamper on Splitcoast Stampers is Barbara (stampfilled dreams).  I chose this card to CASE!

I need a lot of thank you cards for all of the great families at the studio that thought of me at Christmas.  I thought this design was quite easy to make in bulk!  The slippers are from a little stamp set one of my students gave me last year from Delta Creative.  I haven't used them before, but this was a great time to pull it out!

That brings me to my next exciting piece of news... I got some NESTABILITIES for Christmas!!!!  Yay!!!  I got circles & ovals!  I was so excited to get them!  I can be "in style" now... haha!  Anyway, I used one of my nesties for the scalloped circle on these.

Another great thing about these cards is they are made totall from scraps!  (except for the main card).  Yay for using up scraps!  I am trying to get rid of this really old designer paper from Stampin' Up!

Ok, so maybe the holidays haven't been the ONLY thing keeping me away from my stampin' room lately!  I started reading the Twilight series after rave reviews from some girls at the studio and I have to say that these books are the best I've ever read!  I read the first one, Twilight, in 24 hours... that's right, over 500 pages in 24 hours!  Trust me, it's worth it!  I'm on the 2nd book now, New Moon and am already 1/2 way through it.  I don't want to give too much away because it's such a good series of books, but if you're reading them, or have read them... let me know!  It's awesome to talk with people who have felt the same amazement as I have reading these books!

Ok, that's all for now!  Have a wonderful Sunday evening!

Pendant Inspired

inspiration challenge, splitcoast stampers, dancerriley, riley, upsy daisy, stampin up, demonstrator, cards, stamping

Good Saturday morning to you! I hope your weekend is off to a great start!

My dance studio is dancing in an outdoor festival today and the high is only like 35 degrees or something... and it's cloudy, so it's going to be REALLY cold!! AHH!! HAHA! I will let you know how it works out!

Also, I just found out today that I've been selected for a design team for an exciting NEW line of stamps... I will keep you posted on that! I'm really excited!

So, today's challenge on Splitcoast Stampers was the inspiration challenge. This week's inspiration comes from this website called Etsy who makes all different kinds of glass pendants. They really have some neat stuff! I found this one and immediately thought of Upsy Daisy, so I had to pull it out!

I have to be honest, I don't think I've used this set as much as I thought I would. I guess maybe because it's such a wide image? I don't know, but I need to use it more because I love how this came out!

Card Details:
Upsy Daisy, Live Your Dream (SU!)
Paper: Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss, Whisper White, Pink Pirouette (SU!)
Ink: Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss, Pink Pirouette (SU!)
Accessories: Kiwi Kiss Ribbon (SU!)

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

In return for your donation, I will be giving away some great blog candy... a $25 gift certificate good for anything in my 24/7 Stampin' Up Store!

All you need to do to qualify is go to here and donate whatever you can. Come back and leave a comment on this post with the amount you donated and what you are thankful for. Any donations are appreciated and it's going to a wonderful cause!

Thank you!!!

Birthday Whimsy Card Set

I'm trying to get Christmas gifts done and this is one of them! I have a good friend who has a little girl and it seems like they are always going to birthday parties, so I thought she could use a set of cards!

I have made 4 so far, but I think I'm going to pull out my Whale Wishes set and make a few more!

Most of these ideas came from the Splitcoast Stampers Gallery, but I didn't note the artist, so if any of these ideas are yours, let me know!!!

Thanks for looking... now I really better go get myself together and head to the studio... ahh!

Is Your Tummy Full of Turkey?

Hi everyone! I hope you had a fabulous Thanksgiving! Mine was pretty good! The only thing that could have been better would have been if I didn't start off the holiday weekend with a trip to the doctor for a sinus infection! I am feeling better, but It's still not completely gone!

Over the holiday, I had time to work on some Christmas gifts... I can't believe it's already that time of year! AHHH! Oh well, at least I can listen to my Christmas music and people don't think I'm out of my mind! I started listening to it after Halloween... haha!

This first project was very simple. I had actually bought the kit to make this a couple of years ago and never made it. I decided this year that I am going to use up all this stuff I have in my drawer to alter and give it away!
I am sorry for the poor photographs in the next couple of pictures, but it's so cloudy here today that I couldn't get a clear picture!

The kit is made by Junkitz and mine is the 6.6 size. I bought mine at AC Moore and i'm pretty sure they still sell them.

I covered it with some retired SU! dp, Cutie Pie. I used ModgePodge to seal it. The actual calendar comes in the kit, you just have to stamp the numbers. I added some rub ons to each side for some interest, added my brads to hold the calendar together and put ribbon on the top to hang it from! The 2009 is made with some stickers from American Crafts. What do you think?

Oh yeah, and I'm embarrassed that my stamp table has that much ink on it! HAHA!

My next project is another stationary gift set like I made last week. This time I used the retired Polka Dots & Paisley. I had tons of scraps and full sheets from the coordinating designer paper, so that is how I settled on this set! I was happy to use up some scraps!
TFL! I hope you have a wonderful day!
