Die Cut Hairpiece

Sorry I have been away for a little over a week.  My dance company had their first competition in Baltimore over the weekend and it's taken me a few days to recover!

Speaking of dance, I made these cute flower head pieces for one of my groups.  The company that I ordered their costumes from just came with strips of fabric to tie in their hair.  I wanted something with a little more pizzazz, so I came up with this cute flower hair clip!

Everything I used (aside from the fabric, of course) is from Stampin' Up!  I used the Fun Flowers die for this.  All of the layers are cut out using the largest flower on the die.  I put the layers together with a 5/8'' Jumbo Brad

Here is the type of clip I put on the back...
I made 6 total of these and I think the girls will really enjoy them!  I will upload a picture with them in their hair this weekend at dress rehearsal!

Thanks for stopping by... Happy Wednesday!!!

Precious Butterflies Just for You

Hi!  I hope your week is off to a terrific start!  This card is for two challenges:
  1. Color Challenge on Splitcoast Stampers to use Riding Hood Red, Baja Breeze & Blushing Bride
  2. Mojo Monday Sketch
I have to admit that I was afraid of this color combination at first.  I don't really know why.  Then, I realized that the new Twitterpated Designer Series Paper from the Occasions Mini has all three of these colors!  SCORE!

The sketch was also a challenge as it has many layers.  In recent time, I have scaled back and created cards without so many layers, so it was hard for me to get started at first, but I think I like how it turned out in the end!

The stamp set I used is called Precious Butterflies and it is a $17.00 hostess set in the current catalog.  To earn this set, you need to host a workshop, or place an order of $150 or more.  You can place your Stampin' Up order online in my online store by clicking HERE!

Everything used on my card is Stampin' Up except for the scalloped circles, which I cut out using my Big Shot, but the actual dies are from another company.  Come on Stampin' Up with some basic shape Framelits!

Supplies List:
Paper: Whisper White CS, Riding Hood Red CS, Baja Breeze CS, Blushing Bride CS, Twitterpated Designer Paper

Stamps: Precious Butterflies (hostess set)

Ink: Baja Breeze, Riding Hood Red, Blushing Bride

Accessories: Baja Breeze Seam Binding, 1'' Circle Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals, Scallop Border Punch

Heart to Heart : Friend to Friend

Here's one more card for today!  Again, I made this last night, but it was too dark to get a good picture of it!

This is for yesterday's Featured Stamper challenge over on Splitcoast Stampers.  The Featured Stamper was pamshobby.  I chose this card to CASE.  I kept the layout and used the same set, but I changed the colors, used designer paper, and changed the sentiment.

The designer paper is Everyday Enchantment available January 23rd for FREE when you make a purchase of $50 or more from Stampin' Up

The set used here is the I {Heart} Hearts set.  The sentiment comes from the set Love You Much which is retired.

Supplies List:
Paper: Very Vanilla, Lucky Limeade, Soft Suede, Pool Party, Everyday Enchantment DP
Stamps: I {Heart} Hearts & Love You Much (retired)
Ink: Poppy Parade, Calypso Coral, Lucky Limeade, Pool Party, Soft Suede

Everyone Needs Their Morning Cup

Here is another card for this morning.  I actually made this last night, but it was too dark to get a good picture, so I had to wait.  I love my set, Morning Cup, but for some reason I don't reach for it as often as I thought I would when I bought it.  So, I made myself a little personal challenge and challenged myself to use it.

I loooove how this turned out!  The designer paper used is from the upcoming Sale-a-Bration catalog and it's called Everyday Enchantment.  The brads are from the Everyday Enchantment Brad & Ribbon Pack.  You can earn this designer series paper and/or the brad & ribbon pack for FREE when placing a $50 order or more beginning January 23rd!

I paper pieced the coffee pot and the mug is simply colored with Stampin' Write Markers.

The sketch is Saturday's Sketch Saturday.

Supplies List:
Paper: Very Vanilla, Soft Suede, Everyday Enchantment (available Jan. 23rd)
Stamps: Morning Cup
Ink: Stazon Jet Black
Accessories: Everyday Enchantment Brads, Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon, Word Window Punch, Modern Label Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals

Butterflies are Thinking of You

Good Monday Morning!  It's rainy here today, but that's okay because days like this, I seem to get the most stamping done.. although I am pretty tired this morning!

I've been on a roll with shades of blue, haven't I?  This is for several challenges:
The die cut I used is one of my favorites.  It's called Beautiful Wings and is an Embosslit Die which means it cuts AND embosses at the same time!  This is only $11.95 and it comes with several butterflies.  It's the perfect size for cards.

The sentiment is from last year's Sale-a-Bration catalog and is called So Happy for You.  It is now retired and no longer available.

Here's my full supplies list:
Paper: Very Vanilla CS, Not Quite Navy CS, Twitterpated Designer Paper
Stamps: So Happy for You (retired)
Ink: Not Quite Navy
Accessories: Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/8'' Circle Punch, Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon, Beautiful Wings Embosslit, Basic Pearls, Stampin' Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Up Up & Away in Blues

Hi!  I hope you have had a great weekend.  Mine has been pretty busy, but I was lucky enough to get the house cleaned and laundry started so I could stamp this afternoon!
I am catching up on the color challenge from Tuesday over on Splitcoast Stampers to use Bashful Blue, Night of Navy, and Whisper White.  Blue is one of my favorite colors, so it was fun using them to create this card!

This is also for today's Card Positioning System's sketch.  I really loved the four small squares to create a background for my main image.

Everything on this card is Stampin' Up with the exception of the die cuts I used to make the scallop squares and circle.  I am hoping that with Stampin' Up's new Framelits that they will come out with some standard shapes as well as specialty shapes that coordinate with stamp sets.

The designer paper I used for my squares is from a retired collection called Cutie Pie.  Everything else is current.  Here is my complete supplies list:

Paper: Whisper White CS, Night of Navy CS, Bashful Blue CS, Cute Pie Designer Paper (retired)
Stamps: Up, Up & Away
Ink: Night of Navy & Bashful Blue
Accessories: Bashful Blue Satin Ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals

Springy Fresh Vintage

Hi!  I missed my blog yesterday, there was just too much stuff I had to do and I didn't have time to stamp.  Booooo!  Oh well, I'm back today with a new card!

This is for three challenges:
1.  Create with Connie & Mary : they have a color challenge today to use: Blushing Bride, Pool Party & Soft Suede

2.  Deconstructing Sketch Challenge

3.  The Ways to Use it Challenge on Splitcoast Stampers which was to make a birthday card

I didn't have room on the front of my card for the sentiment, so I had to put it on the inside, but I promise it's a birthday card!  HAHA!

This card has many layers and was kind of crazy to make.  The sketch just took me down the road of layers, layers, and more layers!  The stamp set is the new Fresh Vintage which will be available for FREE on January 23rd when you make a purchase from my Stampin' Up store of $50 or more.

The designer paper I used is from a previous hostess paper pack that had some of the In Color prints.  It is no longer available.  I was going to use some of my new Everyday Enchantment paper, but I just needed a small strip and didn't want to cut a whole new sheet of paper.

The embossing on the Pool Party layer was done with the Framed Tulips embossing folder.  The Blushing Bride embossing was done with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder.

I used my Stampin' Write Markers in Soft Suede, Pool Party & Blushing Bride to color the image.

Here is my full supplies list:
Paper: Blushing Bride CS, Pool Party CS, Soft Suede CS, Whisper White CS, Blushing Bride Prints DP (retired)

Stamps: Fresh Vintage (available for FREE beginning January 23rd)

Ink: Blushing Bride, Pool Party, Soft Suede (Stampin' Write Markers)

Accessories: Soft Suede Taffeta Ribbon, Framed Tulips Embossing Folder, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Scallop Border Punch

Eat Chocolate

Happy New Year!!!  I would like to wish all my Stampin' friends the best in 2012!

Today's card is for the Featured Stamper challenge on Splitcoast Stampers.  I always like to go waaaay back into the Featured Stamper's gallery to pick a card to CASE because it pushes me to dig out some old stamp sets that haven't been loved in a while and put a fresh spin on them!

I CASEd this card from Lunar Lana.  I kept the layout and color scheme the same... I even used BORDER BUILDERS!  This is an old hostess set... that has barely ever been used!  In my early stampin' days, it was just too hard for me to get it straight and figure out how to use it.  Today, I used my Stamp-a-ma-Jig to get it spaced evenly and straight.

I changed the pink color to Rose Red, since Lunar had used a color that is since retired and I never owned.  I also used the newer set, Eat Chocolate (also retired, it was in the Occassions mini in 2011).  I also used the Striped Chocolate Chip ribbon, put my image in a circle panel and dry embossed the top background.

I think this came out really cute!

Supplies List:
Paper: Whisper White, Chocolate Chip
Ink: Rose Red, Chocolate Chip
Stamps: Border Builders (retired), Eat Chocolate (retired)
Accessories: Chocolate Chip Striped Ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals, Dots Embossing Folder, Circle Die Cuts
