Card Details:
Paper: Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy, Riding Hood Red, NQN dp, RHR dp

Ink: Stazon Jet black & Not Quite Navy

Glam Birthday Heels!

Happy Monday everyone! Did you have a nice weekend? I hope so! Mine was pretty nice, DH and I spent all day Saturday cleaning out the house and planting some new flowers & plants! We finished the planting yesterday and I have to say that I'm very proud of us! We got a lot done!

I made this card for part of my design team work with Making Handmade Cards. It uses a soon to be released kit called Glam Bags 'n Heels. I think it's super cute!

The designer paper is actually a printable from the Petal Patch kit, also by Making Handmade Cards!

I have to admit that when all of these printable stamps and designer papers were coming out, I was skeptical... but... I did print both of the images for this card on watercolor paper and they did wonderfully! So, I think the digital images and papers are growing on me... however, I don't think I will EVER give up my real-life rubber!

Card Details:
Paper: Perfect Plum, Pale Plum, Green Galore, Orchid Opulence, Watercolor Paper, Petal Patch Violet printable DP

Images: Glam Bags 'n Heels digital images by Making Handmade Cards

Ink: None, just printer ink

Limited Butterflies

Happy Friday everyone!

Today's Limited Supplies challenge over on Splitcoast Stampers was to make a card using a wheel, stamped image, stamped sentiment, and one embellishment.

I also used Amy's sketch found here!

Of course I had to pull out my new Great Friend set again for this card! I just loooove it!

I used the wheel from Always to make my own designer paper on the Apricot Appeal panel.

That brings me to the color scheme... not sure I like it! I was feeling the need to dig out some Soft Sky, so I went to the Scraptitude website to come up with a color combo and this was the first one that popped up, so I used it!

Card Details:
Paper: Whisper White, Close to Cocoa, Apricot Appeal, Certainly Celery, Soft Sky
Stamps: Great Friend, Always Wheel
Ink: So Saffron, Certainly Celery, Soft Sky, Close to Cocoa
Accessories: Satin Ribbon by Morex Corp, Round Tab Punch, Scallop Border Punch

*All Supplies Stampin' Up Unless Otherwise Noted!

I hope you have a wonderful weekend! I'm off to a dance competition in Charlotte, NC and I won't be back until late Sunday night!

Submission Challenge Blog Post

This is my submission to be a part of the SheetLoad of Cards Design Team. Thank you for the opportunity... now off to my projects!

For all of the following projects, I used the sketch found in the April 2009 Issue of SheetLoad of Cards, which can be found here!

The first card holds too to the original sketch pretty obviously. I did opt to use the tag corner punch to make the corner straight rather than rounding it. I also made the sentiment an oval and moved it over the bottom left hand corner as I thought it balanced the card out.

Trendy Tree Note
Stamps: Trendy Trees by Stampin' Up
Paper: Really Rust, Chocolate Chip, More Mustard, Whisper White, Autumn Vine Designer Paper by Stampin' Up
Accessories: Latte Buttons by Stampin' Up, Silver Styled Hodgepodge Hardware by Stampin' Up, Swiss Dots Embossing Folder by ProvoCraft, Tag Corner Punch by Stampin' Up, Twine by Stampin' Up
Make it your Own Ideas: Use a different corner treatment for main panel, make the sentiment panel a different shape

My next card also holds true to the original sketch. I did add some ribbon to the main panel and I moved the sentiment since it was a little bit longer and didn't quite fit in the space the original sketch allowed.

The hive and bees are water colored with my Stampin' Up markers and an Aqua Painter. Then I added some Stickles to the hive and the antenae of the bees!

Just Buzzin' By
Stamps: Just Buzzin' By by Stampin Up
Paper: Pacific Point, Chocolate Chip, Watercolor Paper, Good Morning Sunshine Designer Paper by Stampin' Up
Accessories: 1 3/8'' circle punch by Stampin' Up, 1 1/2'' circle punch by Paper Shapers, Rhinestone Brad by Stampin' Up, Ticket Corner Punch by Stampin' Up, Markers by Stampin' Up, Aqua Painter by Stampin' Up, Stickles by Ranger, Pacific Point Striped Ribbon by Stampin' Up
Make it Your Own Ideas: Use a different corner treatment, add ribbon, move sentiment panel, add brads

My next card uses one of my favorite sets right now, Bella Blossoms by Stampin' Up!

I paired it with some great designer paper called Raspberry Tart, also by Stampin' Up! It matches pretty well with last year's in color, Purely Pomegrant and I had this great polka dotted ribbon left over, so I thought I would incorporate it!

My embellishment down the sides for this card are my bows. I like the look it gave this card! I also, once again, changed the shape of the sentiment panel to accomodate my sentiment and add some flare!

Beautiful Bella
Stamps: Bella Blossoms by Stampin' Up
Paper: Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip, Rose Red, Whisper White, & Raspberry Tart Designer Paper by Stampin' Up
Accessories: Adhesive Pearls by Michael's, Word Window Punch by Stampin' Up, 1'' Circle Punch by Paper Shapers, Designer Label Punch by Stampin' Up, Dimensionals by Stampin' Up, Purely Pomegranate Ribbon Originals by Stampin' Up, Kiwi Kiss Satin Ribbon by Stampin' Up, Corner Rounder by EK Success
Make it your Own Ideas: Use ribbon bows as verticle focal point, use image out of the box, change sentiment shape

Finally we have my noncard project which is an altered notebook. I used the sketch pretty to the tee on this except I did not split the main panel into plain cardstock and designer paper. I just used one designer paper panel and stamped the swirls directly on it.

The butterfly is glued only in the middle so that it's wings can pop up and give a 3D effect.

I am really really happy with how this turned out!

Simple Friendship Notebook
Stamps: Simple Friendship by Stampin' Up
Paper: Berry Bliss Designer Paper by Stampin' Up, Close to Cocoa & Whisper White Cardstock by Stampin' Up
Accessories: Adhesive Pearls by Michael's, Purely Pomegranate Double Stitched Ribbon by Stampin' Up, Chocolate Chip Twill Ribbon by Stampin' Up, Pretty in Pink Taffeta Ribbon by Stampin' Up
Make it your Own: Add or delete panels

That sums up my challenge for the SheetLoad of Cards design team call. I really appreciate your time and consideration and I really hope to be a part of the SheetLoad of Cards Team!

April SheetLoad of Cards

Hi everyone! I hope you're having a great Thursday! My card today features the April Sketch from SheetLoad of Cards!

It's also for today's Ways to Use it challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers... to use labels!

Here is my card:

So, I cheated a little bit because I was originally going to use the designer label punch for my sentiment, but then I decided it was just too large for the area, so I used the small oval punch! I hope that counts!

I pulled out my Trendy Trees set... I just love this little set! It's so cute! I also decided to feature the Autumn Vine designer paper because I just haven't used it that much, even though it's super cute!

I can already tell I'm going to be ordering more of the Latte Buttons... I'm almost out of them! I used to hate buttons, but lately I've been using them a lot and I just think they are so cute!!!!

Card Details:
Paper: Really Rust, Chocolate Chip, More Mustard, Whisper White, Autumn Vine DP
Stamps: Trendy Trees & Sweet Little Sentiments
Ink: Really Rust & Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Latte Buttons, Twine, Hodgepodge Hardware, Swiss Dots Embossing Folder (ProvoCraft), Sponge Daubers
*All supplies Stampin' Up unless otherwise noted!

CD10 - Tango Teal Kiwi

*Edited to add Design Team member's cards... I don't know how I messed that up!*

Hi everyone... welcome to today's Color Dare! I can't believe this is already our 10th combo!

Here are the colors:

Tangerine Tango
Kiwi Kiss
Taken with Teal

I really like the brightness of this color combo! I find Tangerine Tango kind of hard to use, so this was the push I needed to use some of it!

I hope you can play along! Make sure you use keyword CD10 if you upload to Splitcoast Stampers! Link your card in our comments section so we can check out all of your great creations!
