Happy New Year

Happy New Year's Eve, everyone!  Sorry, I didn't post yesterday, but I had to get all the Christmas decorations down and clean the house.  My house was DESTROYED and I couldn't take it any longer!  I know most people leave their decorations up until New Year's Day, but I have a big Italian dinner to attend and I won't want to do it when I get home, then the following day, I have to go back to work!

This card is for two challenges:
Freshly Made Sketches

Sunday Stamps which was a color challenge this week to use Night of Navy, More Mustard, and Sahara Sand

This is a pretty simple card that doesn't use many supplies, but I wanted to show those of you who may be new to Stampin' Up that it doesn't take much to make a card cute and fabulous!

I'm baaack with another Thank You card... haha, I bet you couldn't guess that's what it would be!  I pulled out one of my favorite current sets, Up, Up, & Away for this one.  It just makes a super cute card!

This is for the Sunday Stamps sketch challenge.

Paper: Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White, Summer Smooches DP
Stamps: Up, Up & Away, Word Play
Ink: Real Red, Island Indigo, Whisper White

Snowflake Thanks

Happy Friday!  Normally I would be super excited for Friday, but this week it just means that my holiday break is coming to an end.  I have made myself promise that I will try to stamp at least one thing each day.  It keeps me sane, you know?

I am continuing my "thank you" theme with this card using the set Snowflake Soiree which I bought to make Christmas cards, but never got around to!  This is actually the FIRST time this set has seen ink and I bought it a while ago.

This is for two challenges:
1.  The Friday Mashup to use the colors Pool Party, Midnight Muse, Basic Black, and Whisper White and to also use snowflakes!

2.  Stampin' Royalty Sketch

I wasn't sure how I was going to like this card, but I really love how it turned out!  You can't see in the picture, but the back panel is dry embossed with a snowflake embossing folder and then the small Pool Party panel is embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder.

Paper: Midnight Muse, Pool Party, Whisper White, Basic Black
Stamps: Snowflake Soiree, Because I Care (retired hostess)
Ink: Pool Party, Midnight Muse, Basic Black
Accessories: Corner Rounder, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Snowflakes Embossing Folder, Midnight Muse Stitched Ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals, Basic Rhinestones, Curly Label Punch

Thanks for stopping by!

Thanks a Million

Two cards in one day... woo hoo!  Here's another thank you card.  I have all this "new" paper that I had gotten when the catalog first released, but I hadn't really used!  I should be punished!!  I love this color combo that I came up with by using the International Bazaar Designer Paper.  I used: Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango (not a color I normally gravitate to), and Lucky Limeade.  The designer paper also has some Pool Party in it.

This sketch is from Splitcoast Stampers and is the sketch challenge from 12/19/12.

Supplies Used:
Paper: Tangerine Tango, Whisper White, International Bazaar Dp
Stamps: World Treasures, Word Play
Ink: Tangerine Tango, Pacific Point, Lucky Limeade
Accessories: Pacific Point Stitched Ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals, Decorative Label Punch, Orange Rhinestones (non-SU)

Thanks for stopping by!

Patio Party Thanks

Hello!  Wow, have I really been away since September?  Life has it's way of going crazy and taking time away from hobbies and that is exactly what has happened to me!  I have been crafting some, just haven't had time to update the blog.

I am in need of a lot of thank you cards for post-Christmas, so I needed to get started on them.  I am hoping to update more as I really miss my friends in blog-land!

This is a simple card and I ran out of daylight to take a good picture, so that's why it looks kind of funky!

Here are the details!

Paper: Baja Breeze, Whisper White, Pretty in Pink, Patio Party dp
Ink: Primrose Petals, Midnight Muse, Summer Starfruit
Stamps: Best of Everything, Bitty Banners
Accessories: Summer Starfruit Stitched Ribbon, Circle Nesties, Itty Bitty Banners Framelits, Stampin' Dimensionals

Have a great day! :)

Holiday Planner

Wow, it's been a long time since I've posted to my blog!  I have been super busy making stuff for craft fairs.  I wanted to show you my latest project, a Holiday Planner.  Above you can see it closed and below you can see it opened.
I used this template HERE.  It was very easy to follow.  I did change several things about it, though.  Instead of making mine look like a wallet, I just kept it more like a cute folder.  I used the scallop border punch to add interest on the front.  On the inside, I put my lists on cardstock and used removable adhesive so you can tear off each page as you use it.  The pocket on the right hand side is for receipts and is made from a closed card envelope!

I used some paper from last year's catalog for this planner, but I hope to make more with some new paper I just ordered from the Holiday Catalog!  Yay!

I hope you enjoy my planner!  Have a great day!

Penguin Party

I couldn't stop at just one card today!  This is for the current Pals Paper Arts challenge which is also a sketch!

I have had the set Polar Party for a while, but really haven't used it too much... I think because it's a lined set that requires coloring and a lot of times I do not have the time to sit down and color.  For this, I kept the coloring simple just using my Stampin' Write Markers

I used the new Cheerful Treat designer paper for the background!

Supplies List:
Paper: Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler, Watercolor Paper, Cheerful Treat DP
Stamps: Polar Party & Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Basic Black
Accessories: Cherry Cobbler SW Marker, Gumball Green SW Marker, Stampin' Dimensionals, Bitty Banner Framelits, Gumball Green Stitched Ribbon

Cheers to You

Wow, it's been a while since I've updated my blog!  I am so sorry I have been MIA!  It's been a busy summer and my mom and I have been getting ready for a slew of craft shows.  I will post some of the projects soon!  I still haven't broken into a lot of my new catalog stuff, so I decided today I was going to do it!

This is for today's Create with Connie & Mary which happens to be a sketch challenge! I love this sketch and thought the rounded corners would make for a good retro-feel card!  Of course, that meant I had to use the new Happy Hour set which I am completely obsessed with!  I used one strip of designer paper from the International Bazaar paper pack... love it's retro feel!

Everything on my card is current... woo hoo!

Supplies List:
Paper: Daffodil Delight, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White, International Bazaar Dp
Stamps: Happy Hour
Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight, Pool Party
Accessories: Apothecary Accents Framelits, 1 3/8'' Circle Punch, Large Oval Punch, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon, Corner Rounder Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals

I hope you have a wonderful day!

Betsy's Blossom

Hi everyone!  Before I get into my card for today, I want to share with you that I took the picture with my PHONE!  I know I'm late jumping on the smartphone bandwagon, but now that I have, I can never go back!  I think it took a great picture!

Anyway, onto my card!  I used the new Betsy's Blossom and paired it with the Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper.  I love how it turned out!  The sketch is this week's Pals Paper Arts challenge.  It was a challenge for me as I haven't made a card with a lot of layers and elements in quite a while.

The bird is stamped and then cut out and mounted on dimensionals over the branch image.  The flowers are punched out of the 1'' circle punch.  The centers were stamped in Island Indigo and punched out with one of the punches from the Itty Bitty Shapes punch pack.

Supplies List (with links to purchase the product)
Paper: Whisper WhiteIsland Indigo, Lucky Limeade, Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper
Stamps: Betsy's Blossom
Ink: Island Indigo, Daffodil Delight, Lucky Limeade
Accessories: 1'' Circle Punch, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, Label Framelits, Daffodil Delight Seam Binding Ribbon, Basic Rhinestones, Stampin' DimensionalsFancy Fan Embossing Folder

Razzleberry Cupcake

Hello!!  It's Thursday and it's HOT here... may push 100 degrees which will make for a REALLY hot night at the studio.  Ugh!  Anyway, this card is for today's Create with Connie & Mary challenge which is a sketch this week and for yesterday's Color Throwdown which was to use Rich Razzleberry, Pool Party, Bermuda Bay (retired), and Whisper White.

I have to admit, I am LOVING this color combination and I'm so sad that Bermuda Bay is no longer a current color.  It was a crisp deep greenish blue and I just loved it.  I, luckily had a few scraps left so I could make it the accent color on this card.

I used an older, but still current set, Create a Cupcake which coordinates with the Cupcake Builder Punch.  The sentiment is from the new Itty Bitty Banners set and is cut out with the new Bitty Banners Framelits

I dry embossed the Pool Party circle and the frosting on the cupcake with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, but it didn't really show up when I took the picture.  The designer paper is a print from the new Floral District Designer Series Paper.

Supplies List:
Paper: Pool Party, Bermuda Bay (retired), Whisper White, Floral District DP
Stamps: Create a Cupcake, Itty Bitty Banners
Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Bermuda Bay (retired)
Accessories: Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Stampin' Dimensionals, Cupcake Builder Punch, Bitty Banners Framelits, Basic Rhinestone, Scallop Border Punch, 2 3/8'' Scallop Circle Punch, 2 1/2'' Circle Punch

3 Cheers!

Hello!  When I saw today's sketch challenge over on Splitcoast Stampers, I knew exactly which stamp set I was going to use, Happy Hour!  It's one of my favorite sets from the new catalog!  I paired the sketch with this week's ColourQ which is to use the colors Kiwi Kiss (I subbed for Summer Starfruit since Kiwi Kiss is retired and I no longer have any of the paper), Regal Rose, Baja Breeze, Brilliant Blue (retired, but I still had some paper and the ink pad), and Whisper White.

All the items used on my card are current with the exception of the Brilliant Blue cardstock and ink.  The closest current color would probably be Pacific Point.

The designer paper I used comes from two new prints, Floral District and Patio Party.  Both have fun and versatile designs!

Supplies List:
Paper: Whisper White, Brilliant Blue (retired), Floral District Dp, Patio Party Dp
Stamps: Happy Hour
Ink: Summer Starfruit, Regal Rose, Brilliant Blue
Accessories: Baja Breeze Seam Binding Ribbon, Paper Piercing Pack

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a terrific day!

Wishing Big

Hello!  I sat down and made this card for yesterday's Mojo Monday sketch challenge!  This sketch really appealed to me because of the different panels, perfect for showcasing some of my new designer paper!  I used the new Patio Party paper for this card.

I once again pulled out my new Daydream Medallions set and Floral Framelits.  I am so happy I purchased these two products because they are so fun and versatile!  The sentiment is from the set Word Play which I actually got free for my feature in the Stampin' Success magazine!

I am loving the new in-colors... aren't you?  This card features several of them, Primrose Petals, Midnight Muse, and Summer Starfruit!

Supplies List:
Paper: Whisper White, Baja Breeze, Patio Party Dp
Stamps: Daydream Medallions, Word Play
Ink: Primrose Petals, Midnight Muse
Accessories: Floral Framelits, Midnight Muse Stitched Ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals, Basic Rhinestones

Happy Hallo-Wing

I'm on a roll with the holiday cards!  I love this new set,  Tricky Treats.  It coordinates with several punches which makes for an easy card or project.  I don't make too many Halloween themed cards or projects, so I still have some of this old Ghostly Greetings designer paper.  I haven't bought any additional Halloween themed designer paper since because it's taken me years to use this... and I still have more!

I also used some retired striped Pumpkin Pie ribbon.  I love this wide ribbon and I am kind of sad Stampin' Up discontinued it.

This is for the Tuesday Morning Sketch!

Supply List
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Gray, Kiwi Kiss (retired), Ghostly Greetings Dp (retired)
Stamps: Tricky Treats
Ink: Basic Gray
Accessories: Pumpkin Pie Striped Ribbon (retired), Stampin' Dimensionals, 1 3/8'' circle punch, Scallop circle punch

Hello!  I'm here with a card using one of my most favorite sets from the 2012-2013 catalog called Happy Hour!  There are so many options for this set, but I think my favorite way to use it might be as a Christmas theme!

This is for two challenges:
1.  Today's color challenge on Splitcoast Stampers to use Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler, and Very Vanilla

2.  Come and Get it sketch challenge from Sunday

I used the new holiday designer series paper called Be of Good Cheer which just happens to have all the colors for the color challenge in it!  Woo hoo!

Supply List:
Paper: Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler, Be of Good Cheer DP
Stamps: Happy Hour
Ink: Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler
Accessories: Apothecary Accents Framelits, Gumball Green stitched ribbon, Scallop Border Punch, Scallop Square Punch, Large Oval Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals

Daydream Elegance

Hello!  I hope you have had a great weekend!  Today's Card Positioning Systems sketch inspired me to make this card.  I just got new stampin' goodies and one of my favorite new toys is the Floral Framelits and the Daydream Medallions stamp set.  I knew when I saw the sketch that I would use these elements.

I consulted my Color Coach for a fun color combination.  I really love the new in-color, Summer Starfruit so I went with a color combo that included that.  I ended up with Baja Breeze, Elegant Eggplant, and Summer Starfruit.  I just love this fresh combination!

I pulled out my trusty Elements of Style set as I thought the images paired nicely with the Daydream Medallions.  The designer series paper is Comfort Cafe and Twitterpated

Supplies List:
Paper: Summer Starfruit, Elegant Eggplant, Very Vanilla, Twitterpated DP, Comfort Cafe DP
Stamps: Elements of Style & Daydream Medallions
Ink: Baja Breeze, Concord Crush
Accessories: Summer Starfruit Stitched Ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals, Large Oval Punch

I hope you enjoy my card!  Have a great day!

Wow!  It's been quite a while since I've been able to sit down and stamp.  We had a huge national competition all last week and I am just now getting caught up on everything!  I have a box full of new Stampin' Up goodies and I was determined to play with some of them today!

This card is for this week's Mojo Monday sketch challenge. I used the new designer series paper called Polka Dot Parade along with two new stamp sets, World Treasures and Itty Bitty Banners.  I also used the new Framelits, Bitty Banners.  Everything on this card is current... WOO HOO!

Supplies List:
Paper: Whisper White, Real Red, Polka Dot Parade Dp

Stamps: World Treasures & Itty Bitty Banners

Fabric Wreath

Happy Sunday afternoon!  I hope you have had a great weekend!  I spent all day yesterday cleaning my house, but today I sat down and made this wreath that has been floating in my head for quite a while!

I originally got the idea from Pinterest, but I added my own spin on it.  I used the Stampin' Up Flirtatious Designer Fabric and denim.  The denim is actually from an old pair of jeans I had laying around!  Yay, recycling!

I cut the fabric and denim into approximately 1.5 inch strips, then knotted them on a standard Styrofoam wreath form.  I had bought the wreath form over the holidays to make an ornament wreath, but that project went extremely wrong!  HAHA!

I cut the F from my Cricuit onto chipboard, then layered the designer paper on it and sanded the edges.  The designer paper is called Cheerful Treat and is now retired.

What do you think?  This is the first wreath I have ever made!

One last card for today!  I made this one on Sunday and just hadn't had time to post it.  This card again, features the designer paper Floral District.  This card is pretty self explanatory, I think so I will just give you the supplies list!

Ink: Daffodil Delight, Basic Gray
Stamp: Elements of Style, Well Scripted (retired)

Birthday Wishes

I'm back with another card!  This is for today's Create with Connie & Mary challenge.  This week's challenge is a sketch and it definitely was a challenge!  The diagonals were scary at first, but my trick was to adhere the strips on the card stock, then line it up in my paper trimmer and cut off the excess.

I thought this would be the perfect sketch to showcase some of the new designer series paper in the 2012-2013 Annual Catalog!  The paper I featured here is called Floral District and is super cute!  I paired it with a simple sentiment from the set, Bring on the Cake.  I think it turned out pretty cute!

Supplies List:
Paper: Baja Breeze, Whisper White, Tangerine Tango, Floral District Dp
Stamps: Bring on the Cake
Ink: Rich Razzleberry
Accessories: Scallop Border Punch, Baja Breeze Pleated Ribbon

Tea Cup Trio

Hi!  I'm finally back with some more cards to share!  This one is for Monday's Mojo Sketch and for Tuesday's ColourQ!

The colors for the ColourQ are: Soft Sky (I subbed with Pool Party since I no longer have any Soft Sky paper), Island Indigo (I subbed with the *new* Midnight Muse), Crushed Curry (retired In Color), Cameo Coral (retired), and Very Vanilla.  I hope I didn't make too many substitutions on this!  In all honesty, I thought the blue color in the Comfort Cafe DP was Island Indigo, but then I realized as I was putting my card together that it was Midnight Muse!

Let's talk about the ribbon I used.  It was originally the Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon that has been retired.  I haven't gotten my order of new stuff, so I didn't have any Midnight Muse ribbon, I'm out of Pool Party and the Crushed Curry just didn't look right.  So... I took Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon and dyed it Midnight Muse using my ink pad.  WARNING: I do not recommend doing this!  HAHA!  My fingers are still blue from the ink and even after letting the ribbon dry 24 hours, the ink is still coming off of it!  I'm sure there is a better way to do this and maybe using the satin ribbon was my ultimate problem because the ink doesn't seem to stick.

Aside from the ribbon disaster, the rest of the card came out pretty cute, I think!  Here is my supplies list:

Supplies List:
Paper: Very Vanilla, Pool Party, Cameo Coral (retired), Autumn Spice DP (retired), Comfort Cafe DP, Good Neighbor DP (retired)
Ink: Cameo Coral (retired), Midnight Muse
Stamps: Tea Shoppe
Accessories: Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon dyed Midnight Muse (retired), Stampin' Dimensionals, 1 3/8'' circle punch, 1 1/4'' circle punch

Happy Father's Day

Hi!  It has been quite a while since I've posted... I have really missed stamping!  It has been a whirlwind with my studio's dance recital and all the activities that surround it!  I am finally back into my stamp room, though and am excited to receive some of my new sets from the 2012-2013 Idea Book & Catalog!!

This uses a retired single stamp called Motorcycle.  My dad has 4 motorcycles, so it's only appropriate that I use it on his Father's Day card!  The designer paper is retired called Blueberry Crisp

I based my card off this week's Fall-to-Sketch over on clean&simple!

Supplies List:Paper: Sahara Sand, Pacific Point, Very Vanilla, Blueberry Crisp Dp (retired)
Ink: Blueberry Crisp
Stamps: Motorcycle (retired)
Accessories: Modern Label Punch, Word Window Punch

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to have more to share soon!

Dandelion Graduation

Here's my final post for today!  It's for the Mojo Monday sketch and for the Playdate Cafe color challenge to use black, white, and a splash of mustard yellow (I used More Mustard, of course!)

I used the upcoming set, World Treasures for my floral image which reminds me of dandelions when it's stamped in this color!  The sentiment is from the trusty, Teeny Tiny Wishes set which I think EVERYONE should have!

Supplies List:
Paper: Whisper White, More Mustard, Basic Black dp (part of the neutrals print pack)
Stamps: World Treasures, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: More Mustard, Basic Black
Accessories: Scallop Border Punch, Antique Brads (black), Basic Grey Taffeta Ribbon, Word Window Punch, Modern Label Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals

Up, Up, & Away Art

Hello!  I hope you had a wonderful weekend!  It's getting closer to my studio's dance recital, it's on June 2nd, and I always like to make things for the people who have helped me get ready.  This particular piece is for my graduating seniors.  I actually made three identical pieces... I need to me a fourth, but it's for a boy, so I'm trying to figure out how to make something that isn't girly!

I made my scene with one of my most favorite sets, Up, Up, & Away!  I used the soon to be retiring hostess paper, Cheerful Treat for my "grass".

Complete Supplies:Paper: Basic Black, Melon Mambo, Bashful Blue, Whisper White, Cheerful Treat DP
Stamps: Up, Up, & Away
Ink: Melon Mambo, Lucky Limeade, Wisteria Wonder, Concord Crush, Marina Mist

A Cup of Thanks {Sneak Peek}

Speaking of NEW... the new ink pads from Stampin' Up! are amazing!!  If you haven't heard, Stampin' Up has revamped their ink pads and they are soooo nice.  You won't believe how "juicy" they are and how you don't have to keep tapping to fully ink an image!  You will love them!

Happiest Birthday

For Mother's Day, my mom and I had a stampin' day!  It was really fun and I got to use some of her products that I don't own!  I actually own the set Apothecary Art, but I have had a hard time getting into it.  I don't know what it is, but I have a hard time getting the stamp to ink and stamp clearly.  I think I have figured out that I need to invest in a bigger clear block and I hear the new Stampin' Up ink pads are AWESOME and cover stamps much better, so I am hopeful!

I used the Label Framelits along with the Edgelits on this card.  I just love them and I'm so happy Stampin' Up is creating these products!  The designer paper is retired and is called Bella Blue.  I did "old school" watercoloring by pressing the ink pad to the lid and then using my Aqua Painters to color the image.  I love how it turned out!

Supplies List:
Paper: Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, Bella Blue Dp (retired)
Stamps: Apothecary Art
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Labels Framelits, Edgelits, Pleated Baja Breeze Ribbon, Vintage Lace, Stampin' Dimensionals, Aqua Painters

I am really going to miss the color Pear Pizzazz when it retires, it's such a great shade of green!  With that being said, my pre-order items from the new catalog are set to arrive today!  Woo hoo!  So, tomorrow I should be back with some "preview" samples for you!

Happy Mother's Day {Sneak Peek}

Happy Mother's Day to all the mom's out there!  I made this card for my special Mom.  She is the best!

The new set featured here is called World Treasures.  I love this wonderful floral image it has.  The sentiment is from a retired set called Well Scripted.  I used some retired designer paper called Throughly Modern.

Complete Supplies List

Thank You Blossoms

Happy Wednesday!  I hope your week has been going well.  Mine has been pretty hectic, so stamping has been therapeutic!

I had to take a break from graduation cards today, I wanted to break out something different!  Today's card features the set, Bold Blossom which is a fun little set.  I love the flowers, butterfly & sentiment.  It's definitely a must have!  I paired it with the soon to be retired designer paper Poppy Parade.  I love the geometric designs in this paper!  If you love it too, don't miss out... it will retired on May 30th!  You can order it in my online store HERE!

Today's card is for the ColourQ to use Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzazz, Tangerine Tango, Always Artichoke, and White.  I think the dash of orange really makes this card stand out!  I also liked that I could use up some of my Pear Pizzazz ribbon since it will also retire on May 30th.  I'm sad to see this color go, it has become one of my favorites!

The sketch is for today's sketch challenge over on Splitcoast Stampers.

Full Supplies ListPaper: Daffodil Delight, Always Artichoke, Tangerine Tango, Whisper White, Poppy Parade DP

Another Graduation...

Good morning!  I'm back at it with graduation cards... only a few more left to do!  This is for today's color challenge over on Splitcoast Stampers to use Pacific Point, Certainly Celery, and Crumb Cake.  I thought it was the perfect color combination for my final masculine graduation card.

This is also for the Sweet Sunday Sketch.

I used the retired Great Grads set again for this card.  It's just a great set, especially for masculine cards as it doesn't have any floral images or anything "girly"... and my main stash of stamps are allll girly!

I used the retired designer paper Blueberry Crisp on this card.  I bought it long ago and have only cut into a few pieces... paper hording strikes again!

I used Stampin' Write Markers to color the image in two colors (Pacific Point & Certainly Celery) and finished the card off with some Linen Thread and a retired Corduroy Brad in Kraft.

Full Supplies List:
Paper: Pacific Point, Crumb Cake, Blueberry Crisp DP (retired)

Stamp: Great Grad

Ink: Pacific Point Stampin' Write Marker, Certainly Celery Stampin' Write Marker

Accessories: Linen Thread, Corduroy Button in Kraft (retired), Circle Nesties (non-SU), Scallop Oval Nesties (non-SU), Stampin' Dimensionals

Great Grad

As I shared in my previous post, I have a lot of Graduation cards to make!  My brother and cousin just graduated from college and I have four high school seniors at the studio who are graduating next month.  I never make graduation cards to have on hand, so I have to make them as I need them!

This one uses the retired set Great Grads again.  I think it goes perfectly with this week's Mojo Monday sketch. I actually used my Color Coach to come up with this color combination of Pool Party, Not Quite Navy, and So Saffron.  I like how it turned out!

The designer paper is from an old hostess prints pack that came out YEARS ago... how do I still have this stuff.  UGH, my paper hording has become ridiculous.. haha!

Complete Supplies List:
Paper: Not Quite Navy, Whisper White, Pool Party, So Saffron, Not Quite Navy Print (retired)
Stamps: Great Grads (retired)
Ink: Not Quite Navy
Accessories: Circle Embossing Folder (non-SU), Stamp-a-ma-Jig, So Saffron Taffeta Ribbon, Circle Nesties (non-SU)

Blushing Grad

Hello!  I know I've been away for quite a while.  I go through periods of extreme busyness, but I finally got to sit down and make a card last night.  Actually, I have a lot of graduation cards I need to make, so it's almost out of necessity that I stamp... and that works for me!  HAHA!

I actually based this card off this one by Heather T over on Splitcoast Stampers.  She was the featured stamper yesterday.  After I've been away from stamping for a while, I need to CASE something to get my juices flowing again!  This was the perfect opportunity.

This card uses the set Itty Bitty Buds.  It was a hostess set a few years ago and I bought this set pre-order because for some reason I thought I would use it all the time... needless to say this was probably like my 2nd or 3rd time using it!  The sentiment is from the retired set Great Grads.  I borrowed it from my mom because I don't own a graduation set and Stampin' Up doesn't currently carry one.

The ribbon is non-Stampin' Up.  For some reason I am totally out of Basic Black ribbon... ACK!  How did that happen?

I used Blushing Bride as this color will be retiring at the end of the month!

Complete Supplies List:
Paper: Blushing Bride, Basic Black, Whisper White
Stamps: Itty Bitty Buds (retired), Great Grads (retired)
Ink: Basic Black, Blushing Bride
Accessories: Black Marker, Black Ribbon (non-SU), Basic Rhinestones, Circle Nesties (non-SU)

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day!!

Flight of the Butterfly {revisited}

I am really having fun going through all my stamps that I haven't used in a long time.  Here is another one and this time it is still available to purchase!  Flight of the Butterfly used to be one of my go-to sets... I am so happy I dug it out for today!

This is for Friday's clean&simple fall-to-sketch and today's My Time Made Easy Pretty Palette to use Cherry, Blue, and Black.  I translated that into Cherry Cobbler, Pool Party, & Basic Black.  I love how this color combination turned out!

Supplies List:
Paper: Whisper White, Pool Party, Cherry Cobbler
Ink: Basic Black
Stamps: Flight of the Butterfly
Accessories: Butterfly Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals, Basic Pearls

Colorful Cupcake

Before I even go into my card, I have to say that I LOVE THIS COLOR COMBO!  This week's challenge over on Create with Connie & Mary is to use Concord Crush, Marina Mist, and Certainly Celery (I used Pear Pizzazz).  I wasn't sure how I liked the blue mixed with the purple and green, but it totally works!

I am trying to use some of my unloved sets that haven't seen ink in quite sometime.  This set is one that I have not used very much at all since I bought it!  It's called On a Pedestal and unfortunately is retired.

I used the Cupcake Punch to decorate the cupcake with dots and a candle.  I really love how it turned out!

Supplies List (with clickable links to current products you can purchase)
Paper: Whisper White, Marina Mist, Concord Crush DP (retired), Pear Pizzazz DP (retired)
Ink: Concord Crush, Marina Mist, Pear Pizzazz
Stamps: On a Pedestal (retired)
Accessories: Concord Crush Stitched Poly Ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals, Scallop Oval Nestabilities

Eastern Blooms

So, I pulled out an old set from my retired bin and made this card.  The stamp set used is Eastern Blooms and is retired.  This was one of the first sets I bought as a demonstrator and I forgot how fun it was to use and what great cards it makes.

I completed two challenges:
Color Throwdown to use Lovely Lilac (retired color), So Saffron, & Certainly Celery
Freshly Made Sketches

Lovely Lilac is a color I rarely used when it was current, so, of course I have TONS of it left!  I was thankful for this week's Color Throwdown so I could use up a little bit of it.

The branch image is colored with Stampin' Write Markers.  The main flowers are stamped on Whisper White, then cut out and mounted on Stampin' Dimensionals (of course, you know how I love dimensionals).

Supplies List
Paper: Lovely Lilac (retired), Early Espresso, Certainly Celery, Whisper White, Tea Party DP (retired)
Ink: Lovely Lilac (retired), So Saffron
Stamps: Eastern Blooms (retired)
Accessories: Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Stampin' Dimensionals, Basic Rhinestones, Circle Nestabilities, Early Espresso Stampin' Write Marker, So Saffron Stampin' Write Marker, Lovely Lilac Stampin' Write Marker (retired)

Colorful Balloons

Here's a second card for today, using one of my favorite stamp sets ever, Up, Up, & Away!  This is for two challenges:

This card actually took forever because my Stamp-a-ma-Jig and I were not getting along!  I added the color Indigo Island for the clouds.  I used my handy Color Coach to find a blue that would go with the color scheme!

The balloons are stamped and then cut out and mounted on dimensionals.  The ribbon is from this year's Sale-a-Bration and the button is a corduroy button in Pumpkin Pie.  I bought a pack of these from the Clearance Rack a while back.

Supplies List:
Paper: Whisper White, Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie, Lucky Limeade
Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Island Indigo, Poppy Parade, Lucky Limeade, Basic Black
Stamps: Up, Up, & Away
Accessories: Scallop Border Punch, Pumpkin Pie Corduroy Button, Lucky Limeade Ribbon, Stamp a ma Jig, Stampin' Dimensionals

Bird Friends

I think my mojo is back! After yesterday's card, I was worried.  I managed to complete THREE challenges on this card:

To be honest, I wasn't sure how I would like this color combination.  It's not one I would pick on my own, but I love how it turned out!  I don't really have any designer paper with Tangerine Tango, so I dug into my stash and found this.  It's not Stampin' Up.

The stamp set is one of my all time favorites, Best of Everything.  The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes, a must have, in my opinion!

Supplies List:
Paper: Crumb Cake, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Non-SU designer paper
Ink: Tangerine Tango, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso
Stamps: Best of Everything, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Accessories: Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon, Old Olive Brads, Stampin' Dimensionals, Corner Rounder, Basic Rhinestones

Vintage Friends

Hello!  It's been a while, but I am back!  It's finally spring break, so that means the studio is closed and I have some time to stamp!

This card is for two challenges:
Mojo Monday Sketch
Pals Paper Arts which is a color challenge to use Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery, and Chocolate Chip

I'm not sure I like how this turned out, but I guess it's okay!  I pulled out an older set that I haven't used in a while, Vintage Vogue.  I challenged myself to use the border image, I don't think I've ever used it before!

The designer paper is all retired.  The pink piece is from Tea Party and the Chocolate Chip is from Afternoon Tea.

Supplies List:
Paper: Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Certainly Celery, Afternoon Tea Dp, Tea Party Dp
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Pretty in Pink
Stamps: Vintage Vogue
Accessories: Certainly Celery Brad, Stampin' Dimensionals, Scallop Circle Die (non SU), Circle Die (non SU)

World Treasures {Sneak Peek}

I know I have been MIA lately, but I have good reasons!  First, I have been working on a secret project for Stampin' Up!  No, I can't tell you what, but I can share this new goody with you!  It will be in the 2012-2013 Idea Book & Catalog called World Treasures.

I really love this floral image and sentiment that's in this set, so versatile and fun!

Since I've been out of the loop, I went to Splitcoast Stampers and combined this week's color challenge & sketch challenge.  The color challenge is to use Concord Crush, Elegant Eggplant and Melon Mambo.  I love this vibrant color palette!

I used my Stampin' Write markers to color the image in Concord Crush & Lucky Limeade.  The designer paper is from the hostess print pack (retired) and the Cheerful Treats designer paper which is available as a hostess item in the current catalog.

Paper: Whisper White, Melon Mambo, Elegant Eggplant, Concord Crush DP (retired), Cheerful Treat DP
Stamps: World Treasures (available July 1st)
Ink: Concord Crush, Lucky Limeade
Accessories: Basic Rhinestones, Melon Mambo Polka Dotted Ribbon (retired), Stampin' Write Markers, Stampin' Dimensionals

Happy Birthday, Rock Star

I'm back with another card today!  This is for the sketch challenge over on Create with Connie & Mary and for the ColourQ challenge to use Chocolate Chip, Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral, and Certainly Celery.

I have to admit this color combo threw me for a loop at first.  I wasn't sure how I liked the Calypso Coral against the Blushing Bride, so to make everything go together a little better, I pulled out my sponge dauber and sponged the edges of the Blushing Bride circle and sponged the star. In the end, I love how it turned out!

The main image is from an old set called A Little Something.  I actually found this set at the Goodwill a few weeks ago for like $2!  The sentiment is from the current set Teeny Tiny Wishes.

Supply List
Paper:  Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Certainly Celery, Blushing Bride

Stamps: A Little Something (retired), Teeny Tiny Wishes

Ink: Chocolate Chip

Accessories: Stampin' Dimensionals, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Word Window Punch, Calypso Coral Ruffled Ribbon
