Fidgy Christmas!

christmas card, stampin up, stamping, cards, season of joy, best yet I finally got a Splitcoast Stampers challenge done on the day it was posted! Yay for me! This is for today's sketch challenge. I really liked it, even though it took me FOREVER to finish this card!

I had the basic idea and I knew I wanted to use this Fidgy Pudding paper by Basic Grey, but I just kept thinking it was looking too plain. So, I decided to add a background to the tree, then I decided to layer the tree, so it's stamped twice and cut out and mounted on dimensionals.

Then I decided that of course it needed brads and ribbon... and voila...here is my card!

I had the most annoying call at the studio yesterday. This lady was questioning all of my studio's operations... AHH! Her daughter had come last week to try a class and she was asking me about competition and basically accused the studio of favoring the competition kids because they took more classes... ?!?!? This kid has had ONE dance class... ahhh! It was so annoying! HAHA, I'm sorry for the rant... I'm hoping I don't get any more of THOSE calls for a while.

Anyway, on to my card:

Card Details:
Paper: Real Red, Old Olive, Soft Sky, Very Vanilla (SU!), Fidgy Pudding DP (Basic Grey)
Ink: Real Red, Old Olive, Soft Sky (SU!)
Stamps: Season of Joy & Best Yet (SU!)
Accessories: Brads (American Crafts), Real Red Ribbon (SU!), Dimensionals (Scotch), 1 3/8'' Circle Punch (SU!), Scallop Circle Punch (SU!)

Alright, that's all the time I have today, unfortunately! Don't forget about my blog candy post below!!

Have a great one!

  2. This is really cute, Riley! I can so relate to your call -- sometimes I get calls from parents about why I do this or that for music stuff and it is so frustrating! (It IS your studio after all! lol)
