Best of Flowers

Stampin' On a Budget
Using holiday themed designer paper for non-holiday themed projects

Have you checked out the March Release of the Best Of 25 Anniversary Sets?  This month features the Best of Flowers!  It includes two of my most favorite floral images from Stampin' Up and I'm excited to feature a card using one of them.

This image was originally from the set, Upsy Daisy that has been retired.  I held on to it because it's one of my most favorite sets and makes a quick and easy card.

I would also like to point out the designer paper I used for this.  It's from the Christmas themed designer series paper, Be of Good Cheer!  If you are like me, you don't have $100's of dollars to spend on the newest stamping products, so I have to find alternate ways to use supplies.  One of those ways is looking at designer paper that may be themed to one season or holiday and figuring out how to use it for other projects.  This particular designer series paper features this great Gumball Green polka dotted pattern that can be used for numerous projects.  I pulled out my handy Color Coach to come up with this color scheme of Gumball Green, So Saffron, and Melon Mambo.  I love the springy feel to it!

The banners behind the image were made with the Bitty Banners Framelits.  I just cut 6 of them and adhered them to look like one long piece.  Then, I pulled out some So Saffron Brads and put them in front a 1/2'' circle of  Melon Mambo cardstock.

The sketch for this card comes from the Sunday Stamps Challenge.  This sketch was perfect for this image!
