stampin' up
Happy Veteran's Day!!  Today, I salute all the brave men & women for their sacrifice for our country and to their families!!  USA!

Today's card is for two challenges: Pals Paper Arts which was a sketch this week and the Color Throwdown which was to use Yellow, Teal, Turquoise, and Brown.  I translated that to: Daffodil Delight, Chocolate Chip, Taken with Teal, and Tempting Turquoise.

I used Tempting Turquoise as my card base, then the background is stamped in Chocolate Chip.  My medallion flowers are stamped with Taken with Teal (even though it looks like Tempting Turquoise... weird!) then the smaller piece was stamped with Daffodil Delight.  The big medallions were punched out using the 1 1/2'' circle punch and the small flowers were punched with the 1/2'' circle punch.

The stamp set featured here is Fresh Vintage (retired... OF COURSE).  I used it because I have never used that line image and the Pals Paper Arts sketch was the perfect opportunity to use it!  The sentiment is from Word Play (also retired).

I love the clean look of this and I finally feel like I'm back in the swing of stampin'!

My allergies are still giving me a fit.  I had to break down and take some Benedryl this afternoon.  Sydney just went down for her nap and I am hoping I can get some stampin' in and not fall asleep myself!

I hope you have a great day!

Stamps: Fresh Vintage, Word Play
Paper: Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White
Ink: Taken with Teal, Chocolate Chip, Daffodil Delight
Accessories: Stampin' Dimensionals
