Today's ways to use it challenge on Splitcoast Stampers was to use scissors. This sounds like it would be super easy, but for some reason it took me FOREVER! Maybe it's because I've been sick, or maybe because the challenge was so broad and there were so many choices of things to do. I don't know what the deal was, but you would have thought I was making some kind of masterpiece.. hahahaha!
I stamped the flowers on watercolor paper and cut them out, then I colored them. I first used a SU marker and colored the center of the flowers, then I used my Aqua Painter to blend the color onto the rest of the flower. I used my white Signo Gel pen for the white parts in the center of the flower.
Other details:
Cardstock: Taken with Teal, Whisper White, Watercolor Paper, Old Olive (all SU!)
Stamps: Embrace Life & Fancy Flexible Phrases (SU!)
Embellishments: Old Olive Wide Grosgrain Ribbon (SU!), Silver Brads (Making Memories), Rhinestone Brads (SU!), 1'' Circle Punch (Marvy), 1 1/4'' Circle Punch (Paper Shapers), Stampin' Up Markers (SU!), Aqua Painter (SU!)
I am going out of town tomorrow to judge a dance competition, so I won't have any cards uploaded until probably Wednesday of next week... ::insert sad face:: ... oh well, this is my first time judging a competition and I'm pretty pumped up about it! The pay is pretty decent to sit and critique dances... yay!
Have a great day... and I promise Blog Candy is coming....
