Great Friend in Teal

Hi everyone! Sorry for not posting yesterday, I had to go meet the delivery guy who brought the new mirrors to the studio! YAY!

This card is for today's color challenge over on Splitcoast Stampers to use Taken w/ Teal, Close to Cocoa, and Very Vanilla. I subbed Soft Suede for the Close to Cocoa because I wanted to use this designer paper (Throughly Modern) and this awesome ribbon (Soft Suede Polka Dotted).

This card is also for yesterday's Mojo Monday sketch!

I changed the sketch just slightly to accomodate how I wanted to do my ribbon.

I honestly believe that there is no way to make an ugly card with the Great Friend stamp set (and it's only $17.95!). It's just so versatile and easy to use! This card looks elaborate, but it didn't really take me long at all to put together!

To get the "shadow" effect on the leaves, I inked my stamp up in Soft Suede and stamped off on a piece of scrap paper and then stamped on my main panel. I like the effect this gives.. it's an easy way to give interested to your image!
