Summer Birthday

stampin' up
Here is my second card today.  This one I just finished making a little while ago during Sydney's nap.  This is for two challenges:

The Color Throwdown to use Hot Pink (Melon Mambo), Lime Green (Gumball Green), Gray (Basic Gray), and Kraft (Crumb Cake) and this week's Freshly Made Sketches Sketch!

I am still waiting my new Stampin' Up stuff, so I had to dig into my archives and decided to pull out this little fun set called Sweet Summer.  I love the little flower image and thought it would be great in a small oval like the sketch called for.  I have been seeing a lot of people doing the same color on their layers as their base layer, so I decided to give it a try.  I also wanted to color on something other than white for a different look.  I think it came out cute!

The image is stamped in StazOn Black ink and then colored with my Stampin' Write Markers in Gumball Green, Melon Mambo, and Basic Gray.  Then, I cut it out using my scallop oval nestabilities.

The sentiment was stamped on some vellum and cut out with the Bitty Banner Framelits and attached to the oval panel with a small brad.  It's long retired from Stampin' Up but they were called Vintage Brads.  The designer paper is from the retired Brights Designer Prints Pack.  The ribbon is also retired and is Gumball Green Stitched Ribbon.

As always, thanks for stopping by!
